Rutile Warfare Refit 2025 (NO DLC) (Survival)

Description
A modernized refit of AlloyCat's "Rutile Militia". Designed purely for space combat.

Features
  • 2 railguns, 2 artillery turrets, 4 rocket turrets, 8 assault turrets, 16 gatling turrets.
  • Survival-ready, vanilla, no DLC blocks, approximately 21,000 PCU, wet mass ~4,000 tons.
  • Powerful up-down thrusters for evasive maneuvers at 7 m/s^2.
  • Two whole jump drives stuffed into this mess!
  • Cockpit with 4 configured hotbars. Optional gunner seat with 4 configured hotbars. Remote controller with 5 hotbars.
  • Ammo & spare parts storage, pre-configured for fueling/loading by Isy's Inventory Manager.
  • Projector properly set up for repairs.
  • Pre-configured Nanobot Build & Repair systems x2, if you are using that mod.

This ship cannot land on big planets. 0.5g maximum recommended.

Differences from 2020's Rutile Militia:
  • Rebuilt with modern blocks such as reinforced conveyors, transition & panel armor blocks, and more.
  • Control cabin & its door moved to the rear. Connector moved to left & right side.
  • No longer planet-capable.
  • Uses Warfare turrets, and a lot of them. The once-sleek form of the Rutile is now dotted with 30 varied turrets. There was no other way. Besides the turrets, the ship's style is mostly intact.
  • Central hull expanded, copying the shape of the Rutile Luxury.
  • Interior completely redesigned with redundant conveyors, blast-mitigating ammo storage, and armored redundant fuel tanks.

Want to shave off some PCU? Try these tips.
  1. Replace the small hydrogen tanks with 4 large ones to save 1225 PCU. Make sure to stuff a small oxygen tank somewhere non-critical as both fuel cartridges have 1 o2 packed in it. This will reduce survivability versus railguns.
  2. You probably don't need connectors on both sides. Remove one and its camera for 170 PCU.
  3. Remove the 8 rear gatling turrets and their conveyors to trim about 2,000~ PCU. These don't face forward so aren't always contributing to firepower.
  4. Destroy some doors & the air vent for the control cabin. The pilot uses a conveyor-connected cockpit anyway. 340~ PCU.
  5. The ion thrusters are just there for critical hydrogen failures. You don't really need them, right? 288 PCU.
  6. There are 36 gyroscopes at 50 PCU each, 1,800 total. How fast do you want your ship to turn?
Not recommended:
The o2/h2 gens, as a dense conveyored block, form part of the ammo blast shields. Don't remove these.
Removing any batteries would badly hurt max power draw redundancy margins.
