Lootable Zone

Description
Please read the description.

In Steam we cannot add Localization, thus you need to download it and manually install it. Scroll down to see where to download it and how to install.

DISCLAIMER: This mod is in its TESTING PHASE. It is by no means finished, and anything could change. However I wish to upload it to get feedback from the community. Please leave your feedback in comments. Any bugs you find, there will be a discussion here in Steam to report them.

Check patch notes tab.

  • Localization has to be manually downloaded and installed. Very sorry for this, but I cannot do anything about this. GSC is trying to find a fix.

Lootable Zone features wide itemization in the game. But more than itemization, it adds items to be used along with Craftable Zone mod. This means that most items will have a use. Some of them however, are pure valuables that you can rarely find to sell to traders and make a bit more of money. Others are implemented to have new content in the future, be it through new quests, or mechanics.

Paired along Craftable Zone, many items in Lootable Zone can be disassembled into materials. Or you can use these items to create other items, such as devices, drugs, ammo and medicine, or soon in the future, armours. Players can expect a kind of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly feel in terms of itemization, as this mod was heavily inspired in that mod, and also in terms of crafting possibilities. The aim for this mod is deep in immersion and story telling, but also struggle in The Zone.

The items from the mod can be looted from downed enemies, who drop items depending on their faction, but also depending on who they are: when looting an enemy you may find that the loner you killed was working with scientists, or a duty soldier who was once an IPSF soldier, perhaps you find a bandit who's hobby is to hunt IPSF soldiers, or a Freedomer who is a mutant hunter. You may find some deeper story on who the stalker you killed was. Enemies also may sometimes drop outfits, but in bad condition, ready for disassembly, or usage if you are really struggling.

Traders also sell items from the mod, outfits or weapons in not the greatest of conditions. Their stock has been revamped, for a more struggling Zone kind of feel. The Zone isn't an easy place, but you can also survive without traders.

The overworld and its spawns have changed. Everywhere where there could spawn anything in the world, now can spawn anything from this mod. This means that places that only had medkits or bandages, now have items from the mod, thus it also heavily lowers the amount of medicine and food you can get in the world, possibly making the game a little harder for some. You can go into that abandoned building and explore it, and find items you can use to craft something, or maybe a valuable you can sell, incentivising exploration. Along with those spawns in vanilla, I have added nearly 400 new ones around Lesser Zone, and I will keep expanding this.

Mutants now also drop meat, which you can use to cook if using Craftable Zone.

Most of the items in this mod also have custom 3D models. This means that when you are walking around, and find one, it will be visible what it is. Aswell, they have handcrafted custom icons based on these 3D models. These 3D models are from the game itself to keep the same style, although many of them were made by myself.

Localization must be installed BY HAND. Download it in Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/1495?tab=files

To install, go to your \S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\ folder, create the ~mods folder, and drop the three localization files there. OXA is included in these localization files.

Is a new save needed?
If you want to have items spawning in the overworld, as in laying around, yes, most likely. Otherwise the new items will start to appear slowly over time in corpses or traders.

What are the plans for the future in the mod?
You can check the Things To Do discussion in this mod, but as a tease, some of these plans include custom consumable first person animations for the foods, aswell as add cigarettes in with- yes, a cigarette animation that is half done already.

I found a bug, where do I report it?
You can report bugs in the "Bug Reports" discussion here.

  • Big thanks to GSC for letting me be part of the Zone Kit beta, and also big thanks to the modders there who helped brainstorm things to fix issues here and there.
I do not allow the contents of this mod nor this mod to be uploaded anywhere else nor by other people other than myself. The usage of this mod's contents in custom modpacks that are done outside of collections in Steam, Nexus or Mod.IO is not allowed unless explicit permission is given by myself.

THANK YOU Rat Pack! I was considering adding this to spice up coming back to Stalker 2 and knowing that they messed with the buy/sell values to such an extent is heart breaking but that is on par with Gamma style survival/crafting setups where you build everything with stuff in your hoard and it takes forever to grind up money to even think about fixing up low tier gun internal parts.

Great mod except for some reason it tanks the value to sell and drastically spikes the cost to buy.

I loved Anomaly and was stoked to see someone trying to bring back the extra loot and crafting system. But making every item in the game sell for less than 10% of its static value AND cost nearly 3x as much to buy???? (ie: the Mold artifact sells for 900 rubles, instead of 4k and valued at 12k. Mosin rifle now costs nearly 30k to buy instead of 13k, 5.45 is over 3k a BOX, and AK-74Us are selling for under 400.)
The game is virtually unplayable dude i literally cannot buy a single stack of ammo 3 hours in looting every single stash and side quest and my best gun is now unusable, and this is while avoiding as much random bs as i possibly could like wtf.

This mod is game changing and honestly should just be part of the game. Im using OXA standard in conjunction with this for the NVGs and attachments. Thanks for the hard work

@GamerTank From what I know, there's no system that makes things respawn in the game itself. I've been thinking of ways on how this could be done, but I'm not entirely sure it is possible. Really wish it would be though.

will the loot keep spawning after sleep? in same places we have visited? so we can go check again
