Description
!! ALL TEXTURES, ARTWORK AND ORIGINAL MOD BY Seti.

!! This is an update of their 1.4 mod and will be removed at their request!!

This is my first time updating or creating a mod of any kind or doing any kind of XML. Please inform me straightaway if something is off!

Contains edited descriptions and tweaked defs. 1.5 version is relatively the same. I had to rewrite groou in order to get it to work.

Prices have not been adjusted for inflation, and these cultivated crops of the rimworlds are edible for other lifeforms, so don't worry! You will have some food to grow in the arctic and feed the humans too!

Please note that:

- I didn't test as much on 1.5 as I did on 1.6. Seti's original mod for 1.4 still works fine on 1.5 as far as I could tell except that groou doesn't want to be sown in the ground. I think it still works in hydroponic.

- There's a weird error about icebud having null nutrition. As far as I can tell it doesn't do anything. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, but I'll update it if I do.

- Plants are usually locked at 70% growth rate in the ground; I think this is an issue with the base RimVali plant and the fertility rate of cave soils. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, but I'll update it if I do. With the update, the plants can only be sown in 0C or below.




ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
Adds plants from the avali homeworld.

With vanilla brewing you will get: groou juice!
With vanilla plants expanded: icebud will also produce mint, tucker will also give psychoid and groou will give you sugar
Now it also makes it so that you can plant regular avali plants from the base mod anywhere and makes piru plant give flour with vanilla plants and cooking expended

@KadDaMagicLad Thats due to some changes made to the RVFFA_baseplant. They can survive in light now iirc? Last I checked all of the crops grew normally in my freezers under standard lamps as of the last RV update

the tucker plants always say there is not enough light even when there is

@Kittens That is also weird.... I'm very inexperienced, but it looks like that patch is trying to do things in reverse...? I have no idea why that would be happening; I'm running the version I uploaded to Steam and I haven't had any issues getting mint leaves and haven't seen an error like that, though I haven't played with it since prior to the most recent hotfix.

That might be something on your end or that of another mod, unfortunately :( Feel free to let me know if you find out what it is

I get this error on launch, not sure if it actually causes any issues in game or not but I figured I'd put it here

Could not resolve cross-reference: No Verse.ThingDef named VBE_MintLeaves found to give to VEF.Plants.DualCropExtension VEF.Plants.DualCropExtension

Note that there have been changes to the RimVali base plant that may change how these plants grow!

@Lone_Explorer I'd recommend validating your game files and maybe clearing mod configs? If it persists you can toss me your player.log through a PasteBin [pastebin.com] link, or DM it to dweeblord if you happen to be in the RimVali server.

@Lone_Explorer That's... bizarre. I ran a clean list with RV/Vine/All DLC but Anomaly and I'm not getting any issue like that at all. I have no idea how some plants could even cause what looks like a GUI issue.

I'm very new at this kind of thing but I'll do my best to troubleshoot it with some help from people much more knowledgeable than me. Sorry about that!

I'm having some strange issue with the mod. For some reason, it seems to be breaking menus. Using just it and the dependencies, the storyteller page when creating a new colony won't open. Getting the following error.
