The GWR 3901 class were a small batch of 2-6-2 tank engines needed for suburban passenger routes around Birmingham. 20 were built between 1907 and 1910. The driving wheels, cylinders and motion of surplus 2301 'Dean Goods' 0-6-0 engines, built only 11 years earlier, were reused as the basis. This avoided some of the bottleneck in production at Swindon works, which was already at full capacity producing other classes. There may also have been accounting reasons for these 'conversions' as against new builds. With the 2301 having inside cyclinders, this necessitated a large and distinctive opening through the side tanks to allow access for maintenance. Later changes were the addition of top-feed and an enlarged bunker. From 1923 they were also used in the West Country, South Wales and London, and by 1929 all had been displaced from Birmingham by Large Prairies. They were withdrawn between 1930 and 1934, with none preserved.

Reversible - can reverse instead of flipping at the end of the line, when another reversible item is on the other end of the train, or when on its own. (Lamps and crew swap to match direct. Dedicated Reversed versions not included as now possible with the game's interface.)
Custom sound effects. Supports user colours. No aging or user logo. 18 on-build camera views (8 custom on each side). Includes placeable Asset versions.

Awesome the 3901 tank engine sadly none of them which is a shame really, some we wish one could have made it to preservation.

It's getting rough! Smoke.Hold on a second, I can't remember what the previous smoke was like, but it feels really different from other people's.To put it simply, it makes the smoke look more natural and more like what people imagine. This smoke doesn't seem to be harmful to inhale. The train itself feels more integrated. Thank you.
