Before we start blah, blah, blah
Greetings. In this guide I'll describe what you will encounter when going through the missions on S rank: what to look for, what enemies there are, map difficulty, and what are the pitfalls and nuances.

Everything below is based on my personal experience and subjective opinion
What is S-rank
S Rank - perfect mission run
To achieve an S-rank, you must:
  • Complete all mission objectives
  • Complete all soft objectives
  • Secure all evidence
  • No officers dead
  • Don't kill any suspects or civilians
  • No friendly fire
  • Don't knock anyone out
  • Don't use force on surrendered enemies or civilians



Explanation
  • Soft objectives
    Some maps have "hidden" tasks that are not shown in the tablet.
    I have indicated them under each map where they exist
  • Friendly fire
    Besides shooting a coworker in the ass, it also counts if you throw a flashes at him
  • Unauthorized force
    If the suspect sits down on his knees or raises his hands and begins to kneel, he is considered to have surrendered. Don't using any force. Even if he annoys you
  • Knock out
    So the suspect is alive but unconscious. Be lying there like a dead

For completing a one mission with an S-Rank, you will receive cosmetic rewards.

The difficulty level can be selected when choosing a mission.

Beanbag shotgun - the most effective non-lethal weapon
Just don't shoot him in the head - you'll kill the suspect
Pistol - without ammo
CS gas - I like it better because if the suspect surrendered, but it is difficult to get to him immediately, we can throw gas at him and it will give us time to get to him, and he will not take up arms again.
Take plenty - the AI doesn't know how to throw grenades into unusual spots
Don't use stinger grenades. They can knock out
Taser - for tight places and when the enemy doesn't want to surrender
Mirrorgun - helps you look around corners and under doors
Helmet with gas mask and NV since I play through gas grenades
Light armor with kevlar - more slots than heavy armor, still being bulletproof, opposite to the stab vest

AI Teammates
Make sure to take away pistol ammo from your AI teammates❗If they run out of primary ammo, they’ll switch to pistols and could kill suspects
Also noticed that SWAT AI ignores your gas grenades, so they don’t need gas masks. Better to equip them with ballistic masks
Your "Teammates"
Lifesavers and a major headache
You can't send them out alone - plans will probably go wrong
But they can save your life



Behavior
  • Can walk backward into enemies, even when they know someone is there
  • If an AI spots an enemy, they will ignore your commands until the threat is dealt with
  • May get stuck in corners or hallways
  • Love to block your path in tight spaces, making retreat under fire impossible
  • Often spot enemies from a single pixel - very helpful
  • If the suspect drops his weapon but doesn't kneel, the operatives will just stand up and yell without taking any action. You'll have to manually intervene in these awkward stare-offs
  • If you give a "Clear" command but the door is locked, AI will just stand there doing nothing until you tell them to breach. But they will say “Door is locked
  • If you put a wedge under the door and then give the command “Clear”, the AI will stand at the door and ignore the command and not even say anything
  • If the command is “Clear”, the entire area will be cleared. If it's a huge hangar, they will clear the entire area
  • They will arrest nearby suspects automatically, but if the around ~2 meters away, better give a "Restrain" order directly



Perks
They also have perks that will make the game easier:
  • Pacifier- a suspect is more likely to surrender when non-lethal weapons are used
  • Negotiator- increases surrender chance when yelling at suspects
  • Riot control - increases the stun time of the suspect
  • Intimidator- increases the influence of officers on suspects
  • Nutritionist - increases the overall health
  • Veteran- increases the accuracy of your team
  • S.B.A.G.S- reduces overall stress levels
  • Armorer- increases armor strength of your team
  • Paramedic- saves the life officer who was “killed” during a mission
  • Moral officer - arresting alive suspects boosts team morale
  • Kicker - allows you to kick doors with a single kick
  • Breacher - using breaching tools reduces suspect morale



Tips
At the end of a mission, once everyone is restrained, you can give the "Search" command - they’ll start looking for uncollected evidence.
⚠️Important: They won’t complete soft objectives, but they might say: “I think I found something”
If your SWAT AI is annoying, you can leave them at spawn with a "Hold" or "Move to" command
They disarm traps faster than the player
Bots on a mission
Civilians
Civilians pose no real threat
There are maps where a civilian can technically punch you to death.You'd have to really try
There's even an achievement for it:
The Fool
Be killed by a civilian
They may run away and hide in closets or under beds
They can grab their phones and take pictures, similar to them pulling out guns



Suspects
Informal classification of enemy types:

Run around with knives. Not too dangerous. Only appear on one map

Junkies
Often surrender immediately or after a single shot. If they shoot - it's rarely deadly.
🟨Medium
Thug
Gangs or security guards. More accurate. Won’t die for nothing. It's important to shoot first or make sure he gives up right away. If he starts to back up, shoot him. Most common enemy type.
🟥High
Terrorists
Sharpshooters . Fights to the death, shoots to kill, rushes toward noise, calmly runs out and gives headshot. Deadliest type. Only on a few maps.
🟥❗Very High
Suicide bomber
Either run at you or away. If there's a gun on the ground, high chance they’ll grab it and effectively turn into a "Terrorist". Never actually died to their explosion though

Before any noise - enemies casually walk around

After an explosion or gunfire - go on alert. "Terrorists" often rush toward of noise
Contact
The enemy has seen you, he may not even have fired. He is ready and may start firing at you at any second or take a better position to attack you
Surrendered
Hands up or kneeling. If not cuffed, may pick up a weapon and fight again - often happens if you leave them unattended



Specific Behavior
  • They've wised up since the beta, now they don't always respond to “Surrender”
  • Often mumbling something
  • May take civilians hostage
  • Can hide in closets or under beds
  • Can fake a surrender - then grab a weapon
  • They can play dead, no blood, but lie there like they're dead. If you don't cuff them, they'll get up and pick their weapons back up
  • Will reclaim a dropped gun if left unguarded
  • Some only surrender after being hurt
  • Can shoot themselves
  • Sometimes they’ll drop their weapons and stand there ignoring you. In that case:
    • Move closer
    • Use a taser
    • Use CS or Flashbang
    • Hit them (melee)
Tips
Settings
I recommend enabling weapon outlines in the settings



On a Mission
  • Use leaning (ALT + W/A/S/D) to peek safely
  • Avoid large open areas
  • Stay away from windows: some are bugged, others are so foggy/blurred you can’t see through them - but suspects see you
  • Avoid shooting through railings or grates - non-lethal weapons don’t deal damage through them
  • The first time you can go through a mission with a firearms just to get a "feel" for the map
  • When the game suggests returning to HQ after completing main objectives - IGNORE IT.
    If you've collected all the evidence and completed all soft objectives, the mission will end on its own

Use the flash launcher with 12 extra rounds and 1 taser. Make sure you don't reload the launcher until it is empty (hold reload button to check rounds remaining). Give all of your bots bean bag shotguns and no pistol ammo.

Just got S neon tomb first try with this the launcher is broken.
