LCARS Main Computer Core

Description
**STARFLEET COMMUNIQUE**

**TO:** All Bridge Officers
**FROM:** Chief Engineer
**SUBJECT:** LCARS Terminal Interface Upgrade - Beta Version

**ATTENTION:**

This dispatch serves as an introduction to the newly implemented LCARS command interface simulation. This interactive module is designed to provide all personnel with a functional, real-time experience of core starship systems.

Access is currently restricted to the following three operational modes:

* **Bridge Viewscreen [LCARS-MAIN]:** Primary access to ship status, and mission objectives.
* **Engineering Console [LCARS-ENG]:** Sub-system diagnostics, power allocation, and warp field metrics.
* **Weapons Status [LCARS-TAC]:** Tactical displays, shield integrity, and photon torpedo inventories.

Be advised that this is a long-term development project that has been reactivated. While the core functionality is stable and performs within acceptable parameters, some subroutines may be incomplete. System diagnostics have confirmed its current performance is optimal. Future iterations will expand upon its capabilities.

Furthermore, the ship's designation within the primary code can be modified to your vessel's name.

**Technical Specifications and Requirements:**

For optimal performance, a wide-aspect LCD is recommended. Visual display ratios of 3x3, 5x3, or 5x5 are supported. If you intend to integrate additional modules, ensure the "Preserve Aspect Ratio" protocol is engaged to prevent data corruption.

To synchronize with the ship's chronometer for live timing, a timer block must be integrated. Automated timer blocks are compatible. Set the refresh delay to a one-minute interval.

Your feedback on this initial deployment is requested to enhance future versions. Please direct all suggestions and performance logs to the Engineering department. For now, familiarize yourselves with the system. You have the conn.
