The "A-lotl Axolotl" event is Tiny Aquarium’s first limited-time seasonal event, running from June 23 to July 7, 2025. During the event, players can complete special quests to earn Axolotl Coins, which can be spent in a unique event shop stocked with exclusive axolotl-themed decorations, an axolotl egg, and helpful potions. It's a fun way to expand your collection and customize your aquarium with rare, limited-edition items!

Axolotl Coins are the event currency used to buy exclusive time-limited rewards from the Event shop. You earn them by completing event quests, which are similar to daily quests, but can be repeated infinitely. This is our saving grace in the grind!

Event Quests include tasks like catching 3 fish, hatching common, uncommon, rare, and exotic fish, feeding your fish, and giving reactions to friends.

Each time you complete a quest, you can return to the event screen to claim your rewards. This is also a nice way to earn a ton of extra XP!

Here are all of the time-limited axolotl-themed rewards available during the event.

Axolotl Egg – Hatch your very own Axolotl fish!

🌿 Decorations:
Axolotl Temple – Large decorative structure with a cute, ancient vibe.
Axolotl Statue – Smaller ornamental statue to enhance your tank’s theme.
Purple Seaweed – Tall seaweed with a rich purple color for a magical feel.
Purple Flowers – Bright purple flowers that add color and detail.
Stone Formations – Natural rock structures to create depth and realism. 3 Variations.

⏱️ Utility Items:
Small Time Potion – Speeds up time-based actions slightly.
Large Time Potion – Speeds up time-based actions more significantly.

The key to collecting Axolotl Coins quickly is to use your basic currency ("coins") to infinitely grind event quests.

Here’s how:

Complete event quests repeatedly: Focus on quests that are quick and easy to finish to earn Axolotl Coins steadily.

Watch out for undesirable quests: Some quests are too expensive or take too long to complete, especially at certain times. When this happens — refresh! (If you even have one of the three slots with an easy quest, do it over and over until all 3 are undesirables)

Refresh event quests: Spend a small amount of basic currency to refresh your quest list and get a new batch of (hopefully easier) tasks.

Repeat the cycle: Keep doing the best quests, refresh when needed, and watch your Axolotl Coins pile up!

The best quests to look out for are the “hatch fish” quests — specifically the common, uncommon, and rare versions. These are the fastest, cheapest, and most profitable quests to farm. How? Easy:

Let’s say you get a “Hatch 5 Common Fish” quest. Just buy 5 common eggs, hatch them, and claim your rewards!
The most efficient way is to dedicate a specific tank just for hatching. As you grind, toss all your eggs — regardless of rarity — into that tank. Once it’s full, use Growth Potions from the store to age them all at once, then sell. Rinse and repeat. (It is also a good idea not to feed the fish you hatch from eggs, as you will get the "Feed Fish" quest surely, so you can keep them hungry until then!)

Other quick and easy quests worth doing include:

Catch 3 Fish – Straightforward and fast.
Visit 5 Random Aquariums – Just a few clicks and you're done.
Feed Fish 50 Times – Spam click food, boom, done.
Breed 5 Fish – Straightforward and easy.
Give 1 Reaction – Straightforward and easy.

I'd recommend for the breeding if you don't have any fish available for doing this, to try and stack it with a "Hatch 5 common fish" quest. As you can buy 10 eggs, drop em, growth potion to age them, then breed the 5, sell and repeat next time.

The goal is to finish quests as quickly as possible, over and over.

Grind a good chunk of basic coins first, then switch to Axolotl Coins. Run out? Go back to farming regular coins. Repeat the cycle.

Before you know it, you’ll be sitting on 20,000+ Axolotl Coins!

If you happen to just be ballin and have a tank full of exotic fish. It is a good idea to keep some room in that tank so you can breed them for the "Hatch 5 Exotic Fish" Quest. It gives 500 Axolotl Coins and can be done quickly. It may not be as repeatable as the other quests. But definitely worth doing as often as possible.
