Situation:
Elements of 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, (Callsign: Destroyers), operating as part of forward deployed Marine Expeditionary Forces, have been conducting presence patrols and reconnaissance near a contested border zone. Tensions have escalated in recent days following reports of Russian troop movements and illegal border incursions.

A Marine UAV identified a Russian reconnaissance element likely Spetsnaz or VDV scouts operating near a known supply corridor. SIGINT and ISR confirm that a Russian armored platoon, including BTRs and a possible T-7.

2nd LAR is ordered to conduct a forward screen to identify, fix, and, if necessary, engage and destroy enemy reconnaissance elements as well as set up in a screen/ambush for Russian Armor and destroy it before they can threaten the Marine battalion’s flank.
