517-P "Chinstrap" (Whack AL Carrier Challenge)

This vehicle was created for the Whack Al Carrier challenge

The primary function of this vehicle is ground attack and carrier defense, in order to clear an area of enemy land defenses and then occupy said area with the carrier

Features:

Folding adaptive wings

Ground attack rotary auto cannon (350 rounds HE)

Dual Light auto cannons (200 rounds I)

Passageway to cockpit from dock allowing for easy re-arming of both cannons

Bomb bays with 10 light bombs capable of 4 bombing runs

Flares & Chaff

Afterburner

fully retracting landing gear

Automatic carrier plane docking via laser beacon and hook

Altitude hold

Instructions:

1. The vehicle will spawn with its landing gear up, this is so it can be spawned directly onto the carrier plane, lower them before takeoff

2. Increase throttle and enable the Engines (a throttle of 9 is a suitable runway taxi speed)

3. Press the "Deploy" button, this releases the connectors from the top, unfolds the wings, then enables engine throttle.

(gyro suggested for takeoff)

Docking instructions:

1. Set throttle to around 24

2. Unfold docking equipment

3. Position yourself behind and below carrier

4. When a beacon is detected enable auto dock

5. Approach Carrier, use small inputs to assist docking if necessary

6. Upon connection of the electric connectors, the wings will re fold and the engine will turn off, you may then fold the docking equipment which will also fold the dock arm of the Carrier

Notes:

The "bomb view" does not represent where your bombs will fall in any way, it merely allows you to observe them more accurately

Docking may require practice.
