Functionalities

You can edit the scrap, missile numbers, cargo (ship weapons and missile templates), equipment and ship modules.

As the item IDs are not complete, you can help out by telling me the item IDs that are missing at the moment (which will show up as a number in the editor if you have an item that is currently not mapped).
How to use the save editor?
You can find the code and a compiler at the following GitHub link. You don't have to use my compiler if you know how to compile it.

Load autosave.sav into the save editor and you can begin editing. Make sure you exit the game before editing. If you continue from the main menu, the save edit doesn't seem to work properly.

The save editor breaks modules now, I have 3 slots unlocked and when I changed them it messed up the module section of the file

The latest version of the editor is missing Fusion Charges, Repair Drones and Ruinous Reagents from the dropped down menu. Manually adding them give an error saying "missing lore description".

@wyturk I cannot replicate your issue. If possible, please provide me with your clean save (the bak file) and tell me what you did to cause the crash.

random question, but do you know how to access portraits for modding?

@themogician i dont think so. basically what happens every time, is you can add stuff for the weapons. scrap, and munitions, and it works fine. but putting anything in the loadout causes a crash error when you try to open loadout in game. ive done like 4 runs and as long as i dont try to add equipment, it works. was there an update i missed or something?

keep getting a crash error. used the editor for a run. started a new run, and now it crashes everytime i hit the loadout button. are there items with like quest flags or something i should avoid? is there values in the scrap and munitions that should be avoided?
