The Long Departure

Description
A single player adventure. To play, UNFINISHED BUSINESS is required. It's in a semi beta state as balancing is difficult to do.

To start correctly: UNFINISHED BUSINESS > GAMEPLAY > CAMPAIGNS > OVERRIDE PARTY SIZE > Change to 1. You will then choose a single player to begin with, not the standard four.

You will begin with a level 1 (or 2 character if you wish) who will end up level 16 by the end. Your lone character will be the only one gaining experience despite others joining on the journey, more on that below.

Also, set magic items to be identified during short rest, unless you are choosing a character who can cast identify as a ritual. To do this:
UNFINISHED BUSINESS > GAMEPLAY > CRAFTING AND ITEMS > IDENTIFY MAGIC ITEMS ON LONG OR SHORT REST.

The world map is used to show scale and locations but does not have custom encounters between node travel set. Feel free to turn them off and have travel between nodes be done as fast as possible. This can be done via the Solasta in game options, not through unfinished business.

Most scenarios have several ways to solve or proceed. Some have up to seven different ways. If an error is found, please let me know should you have the time or inclination.

Other characters will join you on the journey. They have various limitations:

-They cannot level up.
-They cannot change equipment of any kind.
-They cannot be resurrected upon death.

+They can be healed and affected by other spells and potions, but not revived.
+They are able to cast spells and use abilities but cannot learn new ones.
+They can regain spell use with a long rest; short rests do not regain spells as far as I am aware.

@sierralynne333 No it's not you, that solution is kind of vague. There is an orange bottle of herbicide around the cave in the eastern part of the map. Once you have it, interact with the sewer grate behind the watchtower, the herbicide kills the vines and unlocks the door in the sewer below.

unsure if this is a me issue but in the first map, the sewer under the watch tower has a locked door and i got dialog saying theres a grate in the ceiling. not sure whats meant by that but i can’t interact with anything to open the door and i dont want to pass up the loot in there

@galind88 In the room to the right (east) of where you found the chainmail there are three cabinet armoires standing in an inconspicuous manner. There is an invisible teleporter between them taking you to the next area.

I am stuck at the invitation part. chesterman doesn't give me any dialog options to continue the game forward. I walked the burning path chamber and got the chainmail of intimidation, thinking it could be used on chesterman, but doesnt seem so... is there something im missing? have walked around for an hour and can't find anything to click on anywhere in the area. love the mod as a whole... hopefully its not broken here.

See, I've now downloaded several versions of it now, and they all are 32.something. I don't know. The file says one thing, but the program says another.

@cawrichards I believe Nexus mods keeps older files on the page for a while. You may be able to find older ones there. I stopped updating unfinished business for that reason. I believe I have 27.7 currently, it does everything I want. Other than that I'm not sure.

I'm having problems with unfinished business. Every version of unity mod manager is automatically the latest version, and doesn't work. Is there a way around this?

@seangeno The "perfectly shaped pearl" found in the Mausoleum is what Forley wants. I don't remember creating a custom emerald of any kind. Either way, its the pearl that works. Strake manor comes much later. The update is being worked on currently. I'll put it in big bold letters at the top when its done =)

@Dareshiranu Try leaving the town through the north exit, it should take you to the world map. Let me know if the mountain pass is available for travel. If not, please let me know.
