Killing Fields

Description
Red has been ambushed in the centre of the map out from their base in the village. Aside from a tank at the site and an APC and light vehicles in the village, there is little other support. Blue has no vehicles but is set up in fixed positions along both sides of the forest with machine guns, AT and AA (Change to Morters, there are no air assets). To capture all flags Blue must take the village first. Red must take the Blue positions by crossing the Killing Fields either side of the ambush.

100 Bots is pretty balanced. Probably wont run well with too many bot mutators on due to all the trees and bushes. The forest is more or less CQB while the Fields are long to medium ranges.

Bots often get stuck on defence, and refuse to attack no matter what. This has been happening across all maps and mods and I have no idea how to fix it. If this happens you may wish to play Blue, seems to work that way.

Some feedback here, add mountains to the borders of the map and fix "Assualt Point", the rest is fine.

Fair enough, didn't know that. This map has nothing to do with Cambodia. Besides I named it because its generic and the map is an ambush... in a field.

i think hes talking about the cambodian genocide which has been called the killing fields before coined by journalist dith pran, but seeing as the map really has no connection nor mention of cambodia or the khmere rouge i really see no problem with the name

Bro, do we really want to name drop like that? Seems a bit insensitive to mention a genocide like that.(not trying to have a go at you or anything) I just feel like if someone made an Auschwitz map it would very much get dunked on. If you don't understand the historical reference, ig thats not your fault but please do some research!

Vehicles can’t loiter like helicopters unfortunately, and the reason the capture points are low is to get the infantry in them rather than atop, which means they do have to be more or less on top of the flag. But I’ll try and get the right balance so they can cap better. The vehicles are just what they are for now. I think the AI are a bit busted in regard to orders and moving places.

Map looks great but I personally felt it had balance issues and personallyfelt the trenches were a bit too deep - Should be able to to shoot over the top at aggressors when standing and hidden when crouched. But that just being nitpicky.
There are however issues with some capture points. Bots in vehicles simply cannot figure out HOW to get to some of the capture points and just end up endlessly sitting next to them and there are other capture points that you cannot command your squad to take or defend unless you are literally right on top of it. These seem to both be issues with flags set in the bottom of the very deep trenches
