This is a map of Italy all the way from the Alps to the island of Sicily. The map contains also most of the Adriatic countries, Slovenia, parts of France, Switzerland, Hungary, Serbia and the northernmost parts of Tunisia and Algeria.

The terrain, terrain texture (humidity) and vegetation is based on real world data. Almost all Italian cities with population over 100 000 and a selection of cities smaller than that have been hand-placed. Industries and raw materials are mostly placed in real-world accurate locations.

Italy was probably my favorite map in Railroad Tycoon 3 so I wanted to recreate that in Mashinky.
