Soul Gem Crafting by El_Tres

This mod allows users to pick 3 new perks in the skill trees that allow the crafting of empty soul gems, from common gems ranging in quality from the humble garnet to flawless diamonds. And also allows the combining of 3 lesser empty soul gems into the next larger gem and the crafting of black soul gems at the Skyforge.

A new perk " Soul Gem Crafter" in the enchanting tree is at a low level and available early, but only allows crafting of gems.

The Perk "Arcane Blacksmithing" also allows the crafting of soul gems. Once taken it is mutually exlusive of Soul Gem Crafter, but the enchanting tree perk is not exclusive of arcane blacksmithing. So you can, in effect. have both if you choose Soul Gem Crafter earlier than Arcane Blacksmithing, though it does not give any extra benefit. This gives the chance for players that don't care about smithing to make gems early.

When making soul gems your smithing will advance though usually not very quickly. Also common gems, like emeralds, that you forge into soul gems will be worth considerably more than the empty soul gem you are creating. So you cannot make extra gold by forging soul gems, but allows players to capture souls without having to pay merchants or searching all over the world for empty soul gems.

Update 1:
Added another perk called "Rare Soul Gem Crafting" Which allows you to craft refillable soul gems, of varying capacity, from rare gems and materials within the world. I'm very happy with the result.

The largest of the refillable gems takes 2 Stones of Barenziah(Unusual gems) and 2 quicksilver. If you are in the Thieves guild you can breakdown the soul gems to get back the stones for the crown quest. Be advised that all the Barenziah stones can be sold or dropped, so if you want to complete the quest.. don't lose them!! I have found that many people do not ever do the Thieves guild quests, so I thought of another use for the Stones.

I'll let you figure out the rest.. just wanted to warn folks in the Thieves guild to watch your stuff.

Update 2:
Added 2 more recipes to the Rare Soul Crafting Perk which allows you to create a petty and a lesser refillable soul gem from various uncommon items found in the world.

Created a new alchemy ingredient found on an uncommon creature in the world to allow for the creation of the lesser refillable soul gem.

Update 3:
Fixed a conditions bug that allowed players to get "Rare Soul Gem Crafting" too early. If you already have it, it wont be taken away. It was not meant to be taken until 50 enchanting skill or more.
