If your game crashes or the mod doesn't turn on, follow these steps:

Check for an error window when you start the game. Look at Image 1 here:

This window will tell you which mods are causing problems with each other.

If the game starts, but the ToR panel doesn't work, make sure you see a message in the top right corner of the main menu that says the mod files loaded successfully. Look at Image 2 here:

How do I get the ToR menu in English or another language? Just pick the language you want in the game's starting launcher when you start the game. ToR will then automatically use that language. Look at Image 3 here:

If the game crashes after you install the mod without showing a message about mod conflicts, check the "error.log" file. You'll find it here: "C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Caribbean Legend\Logs" (your path might be different!).
IMPORTANT! You need to check this file RIGHT AFTER a crash, otherwise the old information will be gone when you start the game again! For example, you might see text like: "[2025-06-11 06:01:12.391] [error] [error] RUNTIME ERROR in interface\interface.c(1835): Cant create class: InfoHandler" - this tells you which file caused the crash. Look at Image 4 here:

If your game crashes and you don't know which mod is causing it, use step 4 to find the folder and file that's making it crash. Then, search for that file in your Steam Workshop mods folder, usually found at: "D:\Program Files x86\steamapps\workshop\content\2230980". Open the "2230980" folder, and in the search bar, type the name of the folder that caused the crash (for example, from step 4, it's "interface\interface.c"). Open the file's location. Remember the folder number it was in, like "3446999946" in our example.
Also, note when the mod was installed (the date and time the files in the mod folder were changed). Go into Steam, then Library, then "Caribbean Legend," then "My Subscriptions." Find the specific mod you installed by matching the date and time. Unsubscribe from it and then check if the game starts now. Look at Image 5 here:

If the game starts but the ToR panel still doesn't work, make sure you have the correct version of the game. The current supported mod version is written at the beginning of the mod's name, like "[X.Y.Z]".
