Hakurei Reimu (Japanese: 博麗霊夢) is the main protagonist of the Touhou Project since 1995. In the past 30 years, she left a influential mark on the development of global internet culture at the beginning of the new century. As the shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, she manages the Hakurei Border of Gensokyo and exterminates troublesome youkai.
