abouts and disclaimers and such
to be VERY clear, i have my own personal writing style that some people find annoying. If you don't like how I write, that's fine, I hope you are either able to put up with me to get what you need (control+f might be your best friend here) or you can find another guide that wont cause issues like your eyes rolling into the back of your head :D

Because you cannot throw enough pennies at me to get me to change my writing style, and I will only lightly mock you if you try.

The CEO behind the game seems excited that I'm willing to write a steam guide, lets see if that holds up, shall we?

Now that is cleared up, let me explain a little bit about the game.

I am not sure how i found out about the demo, but i loved it. And as soon as the game went on sale, i couldn't buy the game fast enough. You play as a "young" goblin who's Aunty has her little shrubby more salvage than they could possibly hope to clean and tinker with.

Your human friend who owns the shop upstairs is super supportive and of course they didn't steal back the fake mustache you stole from them to try to help you understand how to sell things to wonderful collection of beings around you. Why doesn't your aunty seem to like them? or that blue frog?

There is a whole cast of named beings who will come to your shop looking for specific items, one lizard in particular really likes a warm and comfy bed. Nothing could go wrong with his plan right?

Everything is low pressure, you can dismiss the boring beings who don't want anything to interesting, the named ones will come back later when you finally have the item(s?) that they want.

you can upgrade your tools and some other things, lots of shelves, and there is quite a few options to customize things.

You can only do so many things in a day, and a cupa will give you just enough energy to do one more thing for 20 gold, there is a delivery service who will bring you a clean item from your book that you asked for for a price, and a soaker tub where things will get cleaned over night for just 5 gold.

you can even drop items into a little box so being might buy a random thing from you for a small price, its a great way to get rid of your stuff once you buy it.

any maybe this game will become moot because they add a few more pages into your helpful book, but until then, lets talk about some trash.
hey, lets link up
--- there is an offical wiki[trashgoblin.wiki.gg], as of creating this guide, it needs works, the game is to new. but one day it will hopefully have everything you need.

if you want to know about each item, like how many trinket sockets it has and such this trash gobbo did an epic guide
talks about how trinkets can be divided into several types: Bases, Masks, Lids/Hats, Extensions/Handles, Decorations, Rings, Tassels, Pins, and a few that only match one or two specific items

Tiny bit about how to play
Look, i think this game gives really good instructions on how to play, or its easy enough to figure out.

but since i also know that not everybody agrees with me about that kind of stuff, let me explain maybe 2 of the harder bricks to chip away at.

I love the geode bricks, but you can only chip them where you see the gems, bottom row, center, see? click that side and it breaks. there should always be a way to get to that side.

there is also these annoynig black bricks that dont want to go away no matter how hard/fast/number of times you stab them. There is a trick, the block(s) connecting it to the mess that you have to scrape away need to go.

because this game doesn't believe in mine craft graphics, if there is nothing holding it to the trinket, its gonna poof/clink away.

~~~ to get the max amount of money **wash all your items before you sell them** unless you have a named quest that doesn't want it for some reason. I'm to new in the official game to know if that is a thing. Also, you have to wash your items before you can connect them together.
even the wiki says that if some stranger wants just one specific boring item not upgraded, dismissing them is more than fine, there will always be more strangers who want stuff
eventually you will be able to go to market and borrow the cart that we will just pretend you have never "borrowed" before and sell your stash to the beings while talking to others.
..... dont hit go to shop before you are ready to go to shop, that does mean go to shop and not back to the stall *sigh* considering it takes ticks on the clock and gold to go to market, dont make my dummy mistake.
you also want to make sure you have your stash full of stuff you wanna sell! anything left on a table or shelf is gonna be left behind when you go out and about.
when you are holding an item, you can use WSAD to rotate it about, and once you get a specific upgrade, you can scroll the mouse wheel to rotate it in the socket to make it attach better, it is also super easy to detach, just click it again.
okay so what will someone take if they are asking for rnd category?
just to be clear, i pointed to Absurd's guide a little while ago that helps you figure out if something is a mask or lid, or has so many sockets...
this is when someone ask you for something along the lines of human, goblin, or other tags
as someone with just a few hours into the game, I haven't figured all of it out yet. so this gets to be slowly worked on.
the list has currently been stolen from the absurd guide, but all of their personal nonsense has been removed, i'm sorry, you will just have to go visit them or the wiki if you want to know how many sockets and what nots... Also, this list might items that are no longer in the game and prob not the full list. 1.0 is just to new and we dont have enough hours in yet
What did they ask for again????!!!
that lovely cast of characters are going to come up and ask for some very specific items sometimes made a special way.
if they are named characters you can tell them to come back later because it might take you a moment to come across that acorn drum lid. Trust me, they are happy to wait and will take their time coming once you ring that bell, sometimes they come back in the next time slot, sometimes they show up 3 time slots later. i know when i just have to clean and join i summon them and they are happy to wait if they get there before I'm done.
now I dont really feel like saying who is asking for what, but i will tell you the items you need for what is being asked for. how you cobble it together is your own choice.
maybe i should have mentioned that if you cant join something together its gray, nah, its pretty obvious right?
i think these are in order? i could be wrong! but these are things from named people who will actually come back for it!
bed pan - i've only offered him one clean bedpan
fix the pot - you are given a pot, its handle, and the tool to join things together.
magnifying glass - this guy wants it with the magnifying lens
before this quest i was given the ability to upgrade stuff
complete hairpin - they give you a hairpin that needs to be cleaned, and you have to find the Hairpin Tassel
second bed pan - clean another bedpan and sell it! nothing could go possibly wrong with this
goblin lantern - Goblin Lantern only
third bed pan - no nothing bad is going to happen if we keep giving this guy clean bedpans to put embers in for his bed to be warm
natural charm - natural charm (they say only, i was out of time so i didn't bother trying to up it)
awww aunty brought me a new blankie!
frog plushie - frog plushie, frog plushie left leg, frog plushie right leg
cursed teapot prop - Grandma's Egg and a "tea pot" its a lamp, or a gravy holder ... it not what you think of with teapot, but since its aunty who calls it a teapot, we are just gonna take her word for it.
complete gobbo dagger - pommel, hilt, and blade, all gobbo of course.
surprise training fist - fist, human dagger hilt, wooden chunk handle
hefty jug - clean hefty jug - no handle, just jug... something about a small fire needs water nearby
drinking horn and lid - horn & drinking horn lid --- like these two specifically put together
do you like this guide, or blink twice to offer help
for the first time i am more than willing to colab with other trash gobbo's, there is suppose to be a way to link others to my guide and we can edit and screenshot to our hearts content right?
if you notice that this guide might not be quite the same as my normal writing habits, just wait, its not done yet. I am very fluid when i write, and what i post is only slightly edited.
If you do like this guide, feel free to check out my others on other games, or if you look up ariethninja on various social platforms you will find me, there is even a ko-fi place where you can throw pennies at me or ask me to make you something!
thank you so much for reading, give some love to the creators in your life (and also to those who made this epic game)
Glass eye also counts as a prosthetic, and I believe dentures/denture tooth might as well
