Description
In 1444, the world is full of powers poised for growth and ready to shape global affairs. As they compete with each other, they fundamentally alter the face of the world. These are powerful, large, or economically strong entities. However, they all face their own challenges, whether internal turmoil or logistical problems.
Currently, in the game, these powers and their associated problems are not accurately portrayed.

In VIC3 and Imperator Rome we have a country rank system who adapt depending of the size of the country. A small power will have easier time in diplomacy and economy management while a great power will influence the world at the cost of logistics problems.

Taking inspiration from these two games (and the incoming EU5), i did add a country ranking system depending of the country size or development.

The rank are the following in this order : Local Power, Minor Power, Regional Power, Major Power, Great Power and Global Power.
Each tier come with benefits and negative modifiers.
small power will have better time to manage diplomacy and will get better army size at the expense of development cost or colonization adventure.
Large powers will have benefits such as mana point generation or Maximum absolutism. However they will get less income, more general unrest and most money cost will be increased.
Regional power are the most neutral without many benefits and without negative modifiers.

Natives get a special rank for small and minor power. They are penalized if they become too large.
Subjects are locked to max Regional power and get a special rank if they should be a major power or higher.
Great power in the great power ranking are always at least major powers. Hegemon are Global powers.
Kingdom cannot be below Minor power and empire below regional power.

Exemple of countries for each rank in 1444 :
  1. Local Power : Irish minors, free cities, ULM
  2. Minor Power : britanny , Provence, Saxony, papacy
  3. Regional Power : Scotland, Austria, Poland (before the PU), Byzantium, Moscovy, Astecs
  4. Major Power : France, England, Castille, Ottomans, Lithuannia (before being PU), Ashikaga
  5. Great Power : Ming (the only one)
  6. Global Power : None (it is you to become one)

requirement of each power rank

You can have only one power rank at the same time. if multiples rank is possible, the highest will be taken.
The developement requirement count the subject's development

  1. Local Power : less than 35 developement and less than 3 provinces.
  2. Minor Power :at least 30 developement or own 3 provinces or be a kingdom.
  3. Regional Power : at least 100 developement or own 8 provinces or be an empire.
  4. Major Power : at least 350 developement or own 30 provinces or be in the great power list. Not being a subject.
  5. Great Power : at least 1000 developement or own 80 provinces or be the rank 1 great power. Not being a subject.
  6. Global Power : at least 3000 developement or own 250 provinces or be a Hegemon. Not being a subject.

Additionaly for special rank :
  • Native Power: Be a native (migratory or settled tribes), own less than 8 territory and less than 100 developement
  • Large Subject : For subjects only, Have 30 territory or 300 of developement
  • Large tribe : special modifiers (not a rank) for tribes and natives only. Own 150 territories or have 1500 developement.

Compatibility

This mod shoud work will all mods even conversion mods. However if you use a large conversion mods, the balance could be Altered. Don't hesitate to reach me if you wanna a special balance version for a specific mod.

Can be added in a middle of a save or withdraw without bug or crash

1.01 update: Balance change (details in the note of update on steam). The first rank great power will always be at least great power.

On what point do you think it is too strong the debuff ?
i think your debuffs are too strong. especially when its being played with other mods that already buff AI.

a mod like this wont be played by itself after all.

is there a fixed development for each rank if so can we get a list showing which development is each rank
