Note: This mod Increases fleet formation spacing by 33% (from 4.0 vanilla) to avoid ships clipping with each other.

I'm just using vanilla stuff with this mod. Personally it would be nice if the defiant was the starting corvette, and the frigate was the miranda. Maybe I can poke around and change that myself somehow. Haven't modded this game in like 8 years tho :(

Anytime! It depends on what type of ship you want to replace, you can move the Defiant out of frigates and rename 'em something else. To avoid certain technicalities and make it easy, if you are just using Vanilla stuff, I recommend replacing Destroyers or above and if you use NSC3 I recommend replacing Cruisers or above.

Thanks so much for the information. Is there any quick way to not have the 2 ships merged? I'd love the defiant on it's own lol

@kelstr It is on purpose for three main reasons>
:e33_AP: The Defiant is more than a Frigate.
:e33_AP: I wanted to follow Stellaris firepower based on ship size.
:e33_AP: In order for the ship section to show in the outliner.

Think about it as a Miranda with a Defiant core, maybe it is not for everyone but looks cool to me. Btw, I did make the Defiant a standalone ship with the NSC3 patch if you want to check that out:

Frigate model... I just unlocked the frigate with research and the model is weird. It's like the Defiant ontop of a corvette or something. Anyone else have this issue? This is the only ship model mod I have.

@Xenomorph Kitty All locators are centered and if there is any ship that you want to adjust, that is done manually via their respective script not the model itself.

Anytime! Worse case scenario if the game doesn't accept a new background entry, you might have to replace an existing one (e.g. nemesis_frontend_attached_entity) by naming files or entities accordingly.
