Description
Helmet on Ass adds a simple ACE interaction and keybind to sling your helmet, facewear, and nvgs to a configurable point on your uniform. Other "helmet sling" type mods don't include the nvg or facewear, so it can often look weird when using items that are "attached to the helmet".

By default, all NVGs are slung with the helmet, while specific facewear needs to be configured to sling with the helmet. There is also an ACE interaction to manually sling the helmet and facewear as well.

The project is entirely open-source and any contributions are welcome.

License
Helmet on Ass is licensed under APL-ND[github.com]. You are not allowed to reupload this mod to the steam workshop.

Helmet on Ass uses a custom model for the ground holder that helmets are placed in, this model is a reupload (with permission) of the model from GRAD_slingHelmet[github.com] and is instead licensed under the GRAD APL[github.com] license.

For Modders
There are two custom config properties for helmets, nvgs, and facewear.
hoa_sling_slingWithHelmet = 1; // 0-Don't sling this item, 1-Sling hoa_sling_hideWhenSlung = 0; // 0-Nothing 1-Hide item when slung

You can add your own sling option by calling hoa_sling_fnc_addSlingOption:
["Sling Option Name", _position, [_vectorDir, _vectorUp]] call hoa_sling_fnc_addSlingOption;

For Screenshot Makers
There is a Zeus module that can be placed on a unit, including the Unit Animator units from Enhanced Artwork Supporter. Using the module will (un)sling a unit's equipped helmet, or swap their slung helmet and current helmet.

The gloves need to be set to not sling at all in the config

great mod, one thing that bothers me is when I choose option swap helmets from my head and from hip, NVGs also swap even thou I've made the mode only helmet switch. We're playing WW2 theme and use NVG slot as gloves, it becomes a problem when people switch from helmet to beret etc.

Weird that should've been fixed, the slung items are intentionally moved and unattached from the player when you enter a vehicle and returned when exiting, I'll take a look

We have this weird issue where the headgear will glitch out and be attached about two meters from the player model whenever you enter/exit a vehicle.

yeah i think it mightve been a corrupted preset i had, made a new copy and it saved fine.

You should report that to the arma discord, I doubt there's anything I specifically can do to fix that. I can save and load stuff just fine

like when i save a mod preset, like in the arma launcher, i try to save this mod in a collection of mods but it gives me an error and crashes my launcher
