STEAM WORKSHOP upload of Increased Weapon Ranges v1.3
NB: Please note that this Workshop Mod could receive less regular updates than the Nexus Mod

SHORT DESCRIPTION FOR STEAM

This mod aim to increase weapon ranges (hancrafted/balanced values) for X4: Foundations.
Only Vanilla Weapons are affected, incl. DLC (except Hyperion and Envoy which I don't have).
It is provided with a generator script which can re-generate assets with the desired factor, angle and speed (only on Nexus in iwr_tools file).

What it does ?
It increase weapons ranges by a factor of 1.5 (shortly, it mutiplies weapon ranges by 1.5)

Simply download and install the main file. It's packaged, It's smooth, it will work. **It is a standalone mod, nothing more than the game is needed**.

Technically ?
- <bullet> speed and/or lifetime and or angle (spread), depending of weapons type.
- It also affect Missiles/Torpedoes Speed by modifying their engines.
- Space Suit Laser (Gun and Repair) are excluded because you will not shoot very far in EVA anyway.

- None other than the game

Steam Workshop is doing everything for you, just subsribe to the mod, it will work
You can check if the mod is listed in game by going in "Settings" menu, then Extensions (all installed mod should be there)

Maybe be the workshop is linking the extensions game folder with the steam workshop section. I'm sorry if this doesn't work, I've tested deployment with the GOG version. I'll checkout how it works with the workshop

The workshop should put the "iwr" folder in the extensions folder, this is all that is needed, the mod should be operational (you should see it listed in the extensions menu in game).

your installation instruction are not clear enough:D i assume i need to install contents of extensions folder but what should i do with files inside assets folder ?

Ok, thanks for the reply. You may not be aware, but a lot of people play this game through a service called GeForce NOW. Through NOW you can use Steam mods, but you can not use Nexus Mods.

It would definitely help long term usage of your mod from Steam to keep it clean and away from Nexus Mods, and clearly label Nexus Mods in your descriptions.

@XxBulletJusticeXxn they are not mandatory, they are modifying gameplay in a way that increased weapon ranges are "obvious"

So... I search for XRSGE and nothing pops up except this mod, which you refer to it, so that's why this mod pops up.

What is "XRSGE" ????????????
