France in the Cold War 1989

FranceBecause of the distance from the frontline I made the French airfields singe-unit airfields.. Sorry, but the amount of units is growing out of proportions. France was not formally a part of NATO but did some promises...to help… NORTHAG would have been reinforced by the French III Corps and the Force d'Action Rapide in the event of hostilities. ii CENTAG would have been reinforced by the French I Corps and II Corps in the event of hostilities. iii

It already had ground and helicopter units in- and close to Germany. iv But had withdrawn its Nike Hercules and Hawk air defenses already in the end of the ‘60’s. So practically no air defense… So it is up to you to incorporate the French or not. if there are additions please let it know.
French Navy The navy had their aircraft carriers and I put one fleet west of France. The rest is work for later.vi
