Smart Start Mod Remake

Beskrivning
Currently set to work for 1.5 beta and soon 1.5 when it drops. for updates to apply, please resubscribe to this thing, even if its once every few updates, due to the game needing to redownload it each time to update stuff

The new priest character is found in bassa terre church. he is the pimped out priest

Also, this remake was made to future proof mod and make things easier for me to maintain and update, and prevent issues going forward with game updates. It, and old version, will both be updated as needed, but this one will likely get priority

The mod allows you to get better starting gear and stats when starting a new game, and also obtain cheats from the custom made, brand new, never before seen priest guy npc on bassa terre at any point, both sandbox mode and story mode. They will cost you some doubloons though. Also, the mod allows you to obtain new gear at start if you ignore tutorial and go straight to loan from the priest on starter island during story mode. That is also the recommended way to fully experience mod in full. Besides, no one wants to spend 6 hours on a rock in the middle of nowhere, now do they;)

Some services of the Holy Church include: Immortality, new companions, absolution, promotions in the french navy, money, power, weaponry, new ships, crew, slaves, ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and more!

You will have to advance to talk with fatass fadey first for any cheats to work. You also get the starting gear from priest if you skip tutorial. Equipment Is not under warranty.

The Latest version of mod is version 80.

it also now comes packed with two text files, where you can copy paste a certain section of code to get cheat prices or default prices. cheat is 1 dubloon each thing, and regular is more than 1 dubloon. any copy pasting goes in beunua.c file in mod directory and these text documents are in mod folder in workshop directory. The directory will be as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\2230980\3483650458 (or close depending on your hard drive and other factors)

has a new npc too. for the hell of it.

known bugs: French "People"

It will not be translated to any language other than english, for now at least.

oh, and i forgot to mention. one of the options from priest requires owning at least 1 dlc, to get the relvent dlc items related to what dlc you own, and the holy mercy ship requires dlc 4. sorry for the issue

sorry i could not be of more help on it. again, ill try to see if its even able to be done by me. i also wanna be clear, the way i see it, if devs did it, anyone can, but the issue is how damn hard it would be, plus looking at files ect, seems like it would be too hard for myself to do. the game references stuff by names, broken spelling of names, stuff called herotype 1 -4, and ect. it would need me to look at all game files ect. i am sorry for not knowing how or being able to, and i hope you enjoy this regardless

That's too bad. Well, nothing to be done about it. Thanks for your reply! It was something that already crossed my mind "back in the day" when I was playing the first sea dogs! :)

hi. sorry for my late replies. ill be blunt, i cannot, since it would be very difficult with the way this game is coded. ill explain why real quick.

the game is using an engine thats older than most people currently using steam, aka, very early 2000s to late 90s, and was made before game modding was even a thing, let alone a dev supported thing. the engine was used to make multiple games, and modding them was a minor miracle. it does not help it uses an antiquated coding language called C. IF i ever try, and IF it works, ill be super happy, and i actually might try out of curiosity. but i do not think it will ever happen due to that.

As for flying Dutchman, i might. and as for perks reworked. i tried and failed to figure out how. sorry

Could it be possible to change the character too? There are so many character models and pictures, it would be nice - especially for sandbox-mode - to change the name, the nation background and the characters avatar/model into something else at the start.

It /shouldn't/ be that difficult, no? I'm a noob when it comes to that but every asset is basically in the game just waiting to be used via some coding-line.

is there anyway you can mod in the flyingdutchman as a ship option
