The mod also is not being used by the AI in their airplane designs. The AI stops updating airplanes after a basic design is available.

Hey, awesome mod! Thanks for fixing this. If you would, I found a mod conflict with R256 Expanded. Renaming Modern Aircraft cannons in the Air tech tree due to the new tech disallows a special research project, which has it as a prerequisite. Can you take a look? I can give screenshots if it helps.
