The Lewis Mk I is an iconic World War I-era light machine gun, instantly recognizable by its distinctive barrel shroud and top-mounted pan magazine. Chambered in .303 British, it provided mobile automatic firepower to British and Allied troops in the trenches. Despite its bulky appearance, the Lewis Gun was relatively lightweight for its time and proved reliable in harsh battlefield conditions. It later saw service in WWII and even mounted on early aircraft.
