- Save it and compile v_w1.qc with crowbar. It will create a new folder call "compile" go inside and search for v_w1.dx90.vtw / v_w1.mdl / v_w1.vvd (if u did a hunting, w1 is huntingrifle.mdl etc)
- Copy and Paste all of them inside your original W1's folder in; Models / V_Models (you'll see the exact same name)
- You can delete "decompile" folder it's useless.
- Compile W1 folder in vpk.exe
- Drag your new W1.vpk inside your addon folder and then play. (Uninstall by deleting the vpk)
You'll need GCFScape, NotePad++, Crowbar and vpk.exe it's easy to find them on google. I can't send link without steam deleting the message. Also, multiple tutorial on YouTube how to setup Crowbar for L4D2. It's a 2minute thing.
Once you have everything install and you're ready to work here the step;
- Decompile with vpk.exe the weapon's mod, it will create another folder. (that i'll call W1 to make it easier to understand)
- Decompile W1 with Crowbar.
- Open W1's folder and search for the v_w1.qc inside the decompile folder. (If you're editing a Hunting Rifle it should be; v_huntingrifle.qc)
- Open v_w1.qc with NotePad++ and scroll a little bit down you should find $surfacedrop "default".
