Passchendaele – WW1 Map Mod

Now with added German and US WW1 era Vehicles!

Authentic WW1 trench warfare setting inspired by the 1917 Battle of Passchendaele

Gritty, immersive terrain filled with shell craters, destroyed buildings, and barbed wire

Basic flag routes for objective-based gameplay

Designed for infantry-heavy, close-quarters engagements in mud and misery

Ambient battlefield sounds (distant gunfire, explosions, shouting) for immersive atmosphere

Artillery strike mechanics to simulate creeping barrages and area denial

🪖 Historical Context
The Battle of Passchendaele (Third Battle of Ypres) was fought in 1917 and is remembered for its horrific conditions, endless mud, and staggering casualties. This mod aims to capture a slice of that environment—not glorifying the conflict, but honoring its grim reality.

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little boy called Joey, he was ten-years-old and he lived in a mental hospital because he posted a shitty copypasta onto a People Playground mod's comment section . He got so bad he went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the Feds decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they set up a special room to kill him, as inhumane as possible. And he sat there in agony for hours until he died. Now every week on the day of his death he returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00 a.m. He creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by pegging you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and he will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes nothing will happen: sorry man i am not taking the risk

Cool map, expensive size, kinda dark, the map feels uncanny almost like a nightmare, great job, feedback : Kinda needs a landmark, otherwise great WW1 Theme map:steamthumbsup:

@sgt_Samples. Thankfor for the feedback. I done some more tested and agree with you on all accounts. Your right about the lanterns Im using a blueprint prefab that has it set up with a light. Ill look at editing the blueprint and adding some other form of lighting that way also i wanted to redo the foliage anyway so I'll be able to tackle the floating foliage then as i know its a known issue. Also i have quite a few edges of water planes exposed so i need to fix those aswell. I Appreciate it.

Nice job! Love the atmosphere and vibe, hope to see more like it in the future. Couple minor suggestions for you though: maybe instead of an electric light in the concrete MG nests, use a lantern or candles; and when painting foliage, if you used a variety of single rocks instead of the cluster there will be fewer instances of floating pebbles. Besides that, I think it's amazing! Keep up the great work.
