Soldier's Song

Description
Introduction
Soldier's Song provides an all-encompassing expansion of flavour and mechanics for the Irish countries in EU4. Whilst maintaining the principles and 'feel' of vanilla Europa, the mod boasts an expansion of the Irish mission tree, updated great projects and graphics for the Irish culture group, three unique religious paths, an explorer's expedition westward inspired by the fabled voyage of Saint Brendan, as well as plenty of flavourful events to immerse the player.

Please feel free to provide any feedback/bug reports in the comments. I will do my best to work through everything I may in my spare time. Note that this is my first mod and sort of a passion project. I've used Soldier's Song as an excuse to learn everything about modding in Europa with the hopes of preparing myself to become more active in 'Project Caesar's' modding community when it releases. :]

Lastly, I try to maintain historical accuracy wherever possible, tying in certain mythos and not-proven references from Ireland's history. I'm vastly limited regarding the time I may allot myself for research purposes, so I do not expect everything in this mod to be whole of historical and factual integrity. Ireland was colonised by England in our timeline, the last time I checked.

ireland when druidic cannot access the stonehenge monument. not a bug in the code but should probably be something that can work. the great projects in london and edenburgh should also be able to be used with briton/pictish culture

I think for younger teens it's fine! I put legends and DJ's and monsters in my mod because you're right that its got to be fun. Kids learn fast when it's fun, and they pick up repeated details of names, language, places, geography, economy etc.

My mod is definitely not suitable for history classes, as it incorporates some pseudo-history and playful mythological elements. I appreciate your understanding, though! If I'd a different career and more time to dedicate to ensuring historical accuracy in every aspect of the mod, I would have done so. Of course, fun factor is ultimately the most important aspect :>

The reason I mentioned "Beyond the Cape" mod is that the Irish strait crossing is nixxed and with the Soldier's Song set up, Ireland is now a crazy cauldron every game with different outcomes. My mod is focused on surviving on the most busted islands, keeping ireland hotly contested gives a chance for my north sea nations to find their feet. As i said, light flavourcraft and gameplay tweaks is the right recipe for me. Nice work.

My main issue with EU5 is a game shouldnt take 3 years to learn to play when mods like Soldiers Song and Beyond the Cape should be used in high school history. Teachers are probably too constrained to embrace game culture yet but it will be massive and paradox has the claim on this huge empty space.

Ireland was not colonised by England historically, You are wrong fool. It was a cultural exchange.
