Landless Opportunities: Playable Courtiers (Test Branch)

Description
"As a truly landless character, join courts, mercenary groups, holy orders, or even adventurer's camps as followers. Purchase a property to live in or establish as a business. Serve as a Vizier, or amass enough wealth to oust a republican liege from power and take their place."

This is the test branch of my mod Landless Opportunities: Playable Courtiers.

Any new features will probably be tested here, though I'll try and keep it stable regardless. Feedback is appreciated!

Although this mod can run without it, I highly recommend using the mod Real Freedom - Really Landless by FunGaming44 to be able to properly enjoy the "truly landless" additions without game over screens. Load this after Really Landless.

For those who don't care about playing a truly landless character (by which I mean completely no titles/camp), you can ignore all the landless additions added in this update.

New Features
  • Completing service schemes now gives "Court Performance". A simple variable that you can keep for prestige or spend to get hooks at court, or enhance your schemes in the realm.
  • A decision to disband your adventurer's camp, or form one if unlanded.
  • Whilst truly landless, decisions become unavailable. All the decisions of the original mod have been given interactions too, meaning this now actually works with Real Freedom - Really Landless.
  • As a truly landless character, join courts, mercenary groups, holy orders, or even adventurer's camps as followers. Purchase a property to live in or establish as a business. Serve as a Vizier, or amass enough wealth to oust a republican liege from power and take their place.
  • Other small fixes

Known Issues
  • Many basegame features don't apply to unlanded characters. I've added a workaround to provide some events but a purely landless playthrough atm will probably be quite barebones.
  • If event's aren't triggering, you have probably been replaced by an evil ai that is making decisions for you. Reload to fix (tends to happen after a lose screen if you try continuing as an unplayable character so very rare).
  • Some modifiers such as liege_opinion do not seem to apply to truly landless characters.
  • Monthly lifestyle xp is fixed to 25 (but not 0 as it would normally be if truly landless)

It does work in multiplayer, might be missing some localisation from the ruler side of things but let me know.

@rented_wheels I don't completely follow but this mod is up to date and (if you have Really Landless) you can disband your camp and join a holy order. Not sure how a holy order camp would work but open to suggestions.

Thanks for the comments! There's definitely room to expand on mercenary/adventurer camps and holy orders. You can get pretty fast court performance/rewards if your group gets hired for a war though that's mostly luck. If you've got ideas for new features let me know.

I really like the concept of this mod and I hope it's expanded upon. It's fun for starting landless and transitioning into landed gameplay, but staying as a landless character feels like you just do nothing and make very incremental progress; job performance takes years to raise and there's little you can do to expedite it besides spamming the Visit Camp button

@Chicken_Smuggler yes it does. Should still work on 1.15 as well.

@FunGaming44 I decided to drop the court positions file since the changes to aptitude didn't seem worth the hassle (it was just to negate the -20 aptitude for "busy ruling" if you have a camp). Only overwrite in this mod I can think of now is for the "Procure Estate" interaction.

New (very minor) update.
- Localisation/minor improvements
- Interaction when unlanded to attend activities that are in progress

I should mention that mods that let you become a knight/commander can work nicely with this mod too (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2861161429)
