Piot's Gallery of Gold Stake - Chapter 1
By Baka Piot, shy cutie
Just a place to drop the screenshots of all my Gold Stake wins. Not much of value to see here, unless you want to follow my journey to Completionist++. Also poorly structured. It's just a wall of images, accompanied by some yapping.

I guess you can take a look at what successful runs look like? Maybe that's something of value. Although keep in mind that I'm intentionally throwing runs for more Gold Stickers at times, specifically in the final few runs.

This is Chapter 1 of my Gold Stakes (Completionist++).

Abandoned Deck 1

My first win on Gold Stake, which was still on 1.0. A nice combination of triples and even cards. I also remember strengthing Aces for even more even triples. Pretty sure it was at the final boss blind, but I might be misremembering.

New Gold Stickers: Space Joker, Ride The Bus, Even Steven, Bootstraps, Zany Joker, Throwback
6 new, 6 Gold Stickers total.
Plasma Deck 1

New Gold Stickers: Burglar, Odd Todd, Wee Joker, Arrowhead, Splash, Oops! All 6s
6 new, 12 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 1

I decided to finish this torture before anything else.

New Gold Stickers: Square Joker (Squimbo), The Duo, Fortune Teller, Spare Trousers (Fancy Pants), Hologram
5 new, 17 Gold Stickers total.
Checkered Deck 1

Free Midas Vampire combo from two Uncommon Tags. I think I also took the OG Jimbo for a ride here, because why not? Also, the thought of picking up an eternal Jimbo in the late game was amusing to me.

Here's the seed for easier copying: JJ4LB3BV

New Gold Stickers: Midas Mask, Vampire, Bloodstone, Jimbo, Card Sharp
5 new, 22 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 2

Just to beat Abandoned Deck Gold Stake in the new patch as well.

New Gold Stickers: Green Joker (Grimbo), Abstract Joker, Runner, The Order, Fionacci
5 new, 27 Gold Stickers total.
Painted Deck 1

Went for this one next because it's basically the opposite of the Black Deck. It's always fun when the game enables you to go for Straight Flushes, and the Painted Deck makes this even more reliable. It's not so fun when Lucky Cards don't want to proc though, even with one Oops! All 6s (two of them in endless, and my luckies were still shy AF).

New Gold Stickers: Ceremonial Dagger, Astronomer, Lucky Cat, Shortcut
4 new, 31 Gold Stickers total.
Anaglyph Deck 1

The most minimalist High Card build.

New Gold Stickers: Supernova, Joker Stencil
2 new, 33 Gold Stickers total.

6 new, 39 Gold Stickers total.

Zodiac Deck 1

New Gold Stickers: Droll Joker, Hanging Chad, Faceless Joker, Smiley Face, Ancient Joker, Egg
6 new, 48 Gold Stickers total.
Erratic Deck 1

Started with a lot of Queens (11 or 12). Went for mostly Four of a Kind and the occasional Flush house (although 4oaK was stronger). Eights joined my deck later.
Much steel.

New Gold Stickers: 8 Ball, Luchador, Seeing Double, Wily Joker, Yorick
5 new, 53 Gold Stickers total.
Nebula Deck 1

Thank you Mr Bones. I rerolled because I didn't want to sell a Joker, and having Mr Bones as a safety net, it's the equivalent of selling a Joker. Either I go out with an extra Gold Sticker, or I stay neutral.

New Gold Stickers: Clever Joker, Erosion, Juggler, Trading Card
4 new, 57 Gold Stickers total.
Green Deck 1

Beautiful 4oaK run with Obelisk set up at 15 High Cards (of all hand types lol). DNA helped fill my deck with Aces until I ditched High Card (and therefore, DNA) to scale my Obelisk.

New Gold Stickers: Banner, Driver's License, Golden Joker, Obelisk, Sly Joker
5 new, 62 Gold Stickers total.
Blue Deck 1

An early Joker Stencil at 4x, and a Driver's License which I got active quickly, then sold it right before the final boss for a Hack, a risk that paid off and gave me an extra gold sticker.

New Gold Stickers: Drunkard, Greedy Joker, Hack, Hallucination, Rough Gem
5 new, 67 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 1

Early Certificate gave me a few blue seals. I intended to play Pairs, but early Fancy Pants had a different plan in mind. With a Space joker which came sometime later (and was sold because of Leaf), and a Blueprint that copied it, I made very good use of Uranus, and reached like, Level 53 Two Pair when I went against Verdant Leaf. A Blue Joker completed my build as not the greatest chip joker, but good enough in this case because I filled my deck with cards.

Overall a very blue run. Dabadee Dabadie.

New Gold Stickers: Blue Joker (Blimbo), Blueprint (Blue Space Joker / Blue Fancy Pants), Cloud 9 (very blue)
3 new, 70 Gold Stickers total.
Magic Deck 1

Very fun run with early double scaling (Grimbo and Squimbo) and Madness with a full eternal build. Loyalty card also goes hard. Idol kinda did nothing though lol.

New Gold Stickers: Chaos the Clown, Loyalty Card, Madness, The Idol
4 new, 74 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 4

A Sly Joker carrying my lack of chips (later replaced by a chad that retriggered bonus cards) and xMult heaven with Constellation, Hologram (incl. DNA synergy) and Seeing Double (which was replaced because I had enough scoring and so I could take Burnt Joker for a ride. Which then did literally nothing, because I bought it in the final shop and it got instantly debuffed by Crimson Heart lol. Poor guy).
DNA cloned lots of Purple Seal 2s and Red Seal Hierophant 5s.

New Gold Stickers: DNA, Burnt Joker
2 new, 76 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 5

Good run. AcroDusk goes hard, and Blueprint Dusk Glass had some excellent Photochad vibes. The Madness used to be a Card Sharp that got debuffed by Heart, so I sold it and used Judgement for a possible free Gold Sticker.

New Gold Stickers: Acrobat, Dusk, Walkie Talkie
3 new, 79 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 2

Silly me thought I'd be playing Straights, but then Stuntman arrived out of a Judgement. I picked up a preemptive Four Fingers anyway, in case I want to continue playing Straights with a small hand size.

New Gold Stickers: Red Card, Four Fingers, Sock and Buskin, Stuntman
4 new, 83 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 3

I didn't mean to reroll the Final Boss Blind, but I mindlessly clicked on it anyway. Verdant Leaf wasn't going to be a major issue I think, but Vessel could have been, so I sold my 9$ Satellite (which could have been a new Gold Sticker) for a 1.2x Steel Joker (which was still a Gold Sticker AND only situationally available, also lol). Thankfully, Two Pair builds are fairly reliable.

New Gold Stickers: Scholar, Brainstorm, Matador, Steel Joker
4 new, 87 Gold Stickers total.
Plasma Deck 2

Insane run. Went from early Squimbo and other chips to early DNA and a lot of cloned Kings. Later, Mime arrived, and even later, the Sixth Sense (which I greeded and sold a Brainstorm for, because more Gold Stickers) appeared as well, as if to compel me into a high score run. I sold the Squimbo for a Baseball Card (fastest transition from chip mode to xMult mode ever) and a Gift Card I had for Ramen (same amount of new Gold Stickers). I found so many Jokers I wanted to take for a ride. It hurt to see myself forced to skip them.
You could say, I was prepared to naneinf in Gold Stake, with DNA, Mime, Blueprint, Brainstorm and Sixth Sense joining the crew.

New Gold Stickers: Baseball Card (Basey), Mime, Sixth Sense, Ramen
4 new, 91 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 6

Sold a Bull with 212 chips for the Blueprint near the end. The Chicot would have been a Gluttonous Joker that did very little, but it's smarter to greed for legendary Jokers if you're going for Completionist++. Besides, of course I'm gonna take him for a ride over an arguably unhelpful Joker. Together with Yorick, now there's two legendaries done. Canio, Perkeo and Triboulet remain.

I realized way too late that I could just pivot to High Card. Embarassingly late, but not late enough to throw the run. It only took me a distinct lack of Two Pair draws (and a Manacle/Mouth to remind me of a more reliable hand type) to figure that out. The reason why I played Two Pairs in the first place is because I had the Two Pair Joker that gave chips.

New Gold Stickers: Chicot, Flash Card
2 new, 93 Gold Stickers total.
Erratic Deck 2

Featuring the sturdiest glass cards in existence. Nothing wrong with that, because before I got the Glass Joker, I LOVED being able to keep them, but even after the Glass Joker arrived, only two cards shattered IN THE ENTIRE RUN! 1 in 4 my ass. And trust me, I made good use of them and abused the hell out of them once I had the Glass Joker. I also eventually went all-out on Aces, while playing other 4oaKs (Twos, Fours, Nines, Tens) only when they happen to be in my hand. Quite a risky gambit, but it paid off. That's what I like about the Erratic Deck, you can get away with playing huge hands. Same reason why Abandoned is my favourite Deck.

The Vagabond used to be a Wee Joker with nearly 300 chips (usually a crazy thing to sell, but level 10 4oaK gives 330 chips already, so I was probably fine), but how can I not take Vaga for a ride in the literal last shop, considering that my scoring was solid? Also, he's given me a lot of trouble, because I suck at maximizing his potential. I wish I didn't because it's an awesome Joker. He caused me so much trouble trying to Gold Sticker him. Ultimately a skill issue.

I just wish I could have stretched the Bean out to the final Boss Blind, but it was just shy of reaching it intact, so I replaced it with an Onyx Agate. Anyway, I'm glad that Hit the Road and Glass Joker are done. These Jokers are hard to work with IMO, especially because I started with only two Jacks.

New Gold Stickers: Vagabond, Onyx Agate, Mail-in Rebate, Hit the Road, Glass Joker
5 new, 98 Gold Stickers total.
Anaglyph Deck 2

What a crazy lineup of Jokers this run had.
A Merry Andy, countered by a Burglar which has been copied by a Blueprint (until I sold it for more Gold Stickers), then joined by Troubadour to complete the trio.
A Mystic Summit to synergize with having no discards (which I sold for an Invis Joker, because that's a by far more difficult Gold Sticker), a Banner to compensate for the apparent lack of chips (with 0 discards lol, I'm dumb), an Abstract Joker in a deck known to get crazy with Jokers (sold for a Riff-Raff, another hard Gold Sticker), a Ceremonial Dagger that stabs any useless Joker that spawned from a negative tag (rental Runner, Zany Joker, unstacked Red Card, to name a few).
A Ghost Joker and Riff-Raff taken for a ride in the final shop (see above), while also having started with an early perishable Riff-Raff that I eventually sold.
The glorious Shoot the Moon/Baron combo, until I had to realize that the Baron was perishable. :/ Such a shame because it's such a hard Joker to make work casually. I almost had a good Baron run, but it fell just short because of the Plant forcing me to pick up Hieroglyph, and the missing hand cost me the run later.

New Gold Stickers: Invisible Joker, Merry Andy, Raised Fist, Riff-Raff, Shoot the Moon, Troubadour
6 new, 104 Gold Stickers total.
Anaglyph Deck 3

Featuring literally no use of the Anaglyph Deck's main aspect. Also featuring Baron as nothing more than a guest character. In a proper run, of course it would have been something else, but I wanted that Joker to finally be done after two big failed attempts.

New Gold Stickers: Baron, Blackboard
2 new, 106 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 4

I sucked at maximizing the Blueprint's full potential, although I quickly got used to shuffling it back and forth. After seeing Violet Vessel and having my nightmare come true, Card Sharp at the final shop was absolutely necessary. It replaced a Photograph, turning x4 into x9.
My pairs were at level 43 btw, and backed up only by the Photo/Card Sharp and Polychrome, Lucky and later Glass Cards.
The stones eventually became kind of a burden, and I dunno why I kept copying the Marble Joker after realizing that. I mean, they are good scoring if I'm playing Pairs anyway, but I don't need THAT many.

New Gold Stickers: Marble Joker, Business Card, Superposition
3 new, 109 Gold Stickers total.
Checkered Deck 2

Featuring the shyest Bloodstone in existence. It made me think about why I sold the perishable Smeared Joker in the first place, which did nothing except synergize with Basey, but I took it for a ride as a potential Gold Sticker anyway. Apparently the Bloodstone was only material for Basey, or so it feels.
Also featuring a Flower Pot, which also did nothing except being material for Basey.

I also learned that debuffed Uncommon Jokers apparently still proc Basey during endless mode. The more you know. This makes me a little more frustrated for selling Smeared Joker.

New Gold Stickers: Mystic Summit, Flower Pot
2 new, 111 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 2

Have I ever told you about my broken mouse, and that the left mouse button randomly releases sometimes? Well, that almost killed my run against Amber Acorn, because I suddenly let go of Brainstorm.
The Space Joker was fully awake at first, but fell asleep as the run went on.
I took the Mad Joker for a ride, even though he couldn't do anything. There used to be a Banaynay, but it went extinct during Ante 8. How annoying...

New Gold Stickers: Mad Joker, To Do List, The Trio
3 new, 114 Gold Stickers total.
Checkered Deck 3

I had to sell my Bull so the STACKED cards were active again. And believe me, they were STACKED! I got that Hiker very early.
Viridian Leaf wasn't as troublesome as I expected. I thought I was severely lacking in points without Bull. Yes, even with my STACKED cards in mind. I guess I did scale a bit between Ante 7 Boss and Ante 8 Boss.
Also, I don't think I've seen any lucky procs ever. Maybe I just didn't notice them, but they didn't matter anyway. I think they were overshadowed by the Hiker's slow animation.

New Gold Stickers: Hiker
1 new, 115 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 7

As soon as I saw a perishable Idol that could theoretically pull through to the final Boss Blind (just enough to be debuffed right after it), I just speedran this ♥♥♥♥ and hoped that they align. Unfortunately, the Ancient Joker and Idol weren't on parity as I hoped, so I replaced the Idol for a Lucky Cat that could maybe give, like, 1.25x, but it turned out to just be emotional support.
Overall a crazy run. I didn't exect to play Flushes on Abandoned Deck, because 1. They generally scale poorly, and 2. The Abandoned Deck has only ten of each suit, making Flushes kinda unlikely.
Also the Reserved Parking lol. Took it for a ride because it was polychrome. What led up to this was also funny. An eternal rental Photograph, then when I hard-skipped everything, the first tag (Top-up Tag) gave me a regular, non eternal, non-rental Photo. So I skipped a face card Joker to get the same face card Joker, then replaced that face card Joker for a shiny face card Joker, all in a deck without face cards.

New Gold Stickers: Reserved Parking
1 new, 116 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 8

I think I commited way too early into Obelisk. I tried to stack up Full Houses as my buffer. I also kept Straights (along with my Devious Joker) as my secret weapon. a 7+x Obelisk goes hard though. Obelisk runs always go hard. I got it from the very first shop too. It was in the state-mandated Buffoon Pack. Besides, if it worked, who am I to complain?

I should have replaced the Mad Joker earlier though. There was a Ride the Bus without downsides, but I forgot I had a Joker that was falling off and picked one later that was eternal and rental when I remembered Mad Joker. I thought the flat mult was necessary, but it also took away an extra opportunity to Gold Sticker another Joker.

New Gold Stickers: Devious Joker
1 new, 117 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 5

All roads lead to Photochad. And I thought I was already well off with Sock and Buskin.
I also did a crazy gambit by selling a holo Supernova at early-mid game. Not sure which of these Jokers I replaced it with anymore, but it was a bit spicy for a moment.

Regrettably missed Jokers: Banaynay (debuffed since early-mid game, merely taken for a ride because it couldn't go extinct, tried to maximize that tech), Gift Card (gave me lots of trouble, but Campfire is a rare Joker), Sattelite (lack of space), Ice Cream (appeared near the end, but no space, also food Jokers are frustrating, hence why a debuffed Banaynay was taken for a ride), Stone Joker (no space, would have replaced Scary Face if it had a Gold Sticker)

New Gold Stickers: Scary Face, Photograph, Campfire
3 new, 120 Gold Stickers total.
Blue Deck 2

After choking two runs in the EXACT SAME WAY (leaving Mr Bones behind), this victory was much needed. One of them had really awesome Gold Stickers too, but I got too greedy. What makes this even more humiliating is that it was a Photochad run that I managed to throw. And worst of all, IT WAS THE BANANA THAT BAITED ME TWICE! It's another hard Joker, so I just couldn't leave it. And I've had such amazing self-control to not sabotage myself the previous runs when a tempting Joker arrived. Suddenly I do this crap.

Never get greedy. You could win the run with one extra sticker, but if you lose, that's zero stickers, some embarassment and a lot of regret.

Anyway, this run had all of its firepower in Pair levels, greatly amplified by double Blackboard.

New Gold Stickers: Cartomancer, Rocket, Wrathful Joker
3 new, 123 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 3

I almost gave myself a heart attack when I rolled all the way down and left the final shop with 9$, while Violet Vessel was waiting for me. Luckily, I had a consumable that was fine to sell, so I could actually reroll. Otherwise, this would have been a monumental choke the likes of "the infamous Mr Bones runs".

Also, Ice Cream and Bean are done. Thank god. They were both on their last stack too lol. Of course the Banaynay appeared in the first endless shop to mock me.

While my primary strat revolved around Two Pairs, I had set up a backup plan with quads, just in case. Although, it was only levels, no particular deck fixing. Also, Fancy Pants proves itself as one of the best scaling Jokers yet again (+90 mult at the end). Focusing on Two Pairs > focusing on Pairs anyway. Roughly the same consistency, but stronger scaling.

Regrettably missed Gold Stickers: Delayed Gratification (To the Moon was higher priority), To the Moon (Bean was higher priority), The Tribe (just didn't fit in)

New Gold Stickers: Turtle Bean, Golden Ticket, Gift Card, Ice Cream
4 new, 127 Gold Stickers total.
Red Deck 2

A few embarassing failures and monumental chokes later (one involving Canio where my only card destruction was a Familiar that randomly hit a King. No Justice, no Hanged Man, no Immolate, only getting lucky with a single Familiar. Also the shyest Lucky Cards when it mattered), I get this run.

Just hard committing to Straights and managing your hand to have only black cards, which is incredibly tricky with straights, like damn. There wasn't much deck fixing either. It reminded me of the awkward Flower Pot/Blackboard run I had, where I had to have one each of Hearts and Diamonds, but no more than three of them total in my hand, while also trying to assemble a Two Pair.

I'm proud of my strategic blind skips in order to not completely ruin my econ while also maintaining my ability to scale and win against upcoming blinds, because the first Banaynay was also rental (and luckily perished quickly). Probably the greatest plays this run were the skips, ngl. That's also where both my polychromes come from.

After the first Banaynay went extinct, I immediately found the other Banaynay in the next shop. I swear I was getting way too paranoid that the 1 in 1000 ♥♥♥♥♥ up my run. I also took The Tribe and Pareidolia for a ride, because why not.

Also, I dunno if it's my crappy decision-making, or I genuinely never see useful chip Jokers. Either way, my chip sources almost always come from enhanced cards and planets. This is also another reason why I took The Tribe, because it was foil.

New Gold Stickers: Cavendish (Banaynay the Second), The Tribe, Pareidolia
3 new, 130 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 4

Replacing a really stacked Fancy Pants with Sock and Buskin definitely was the right call (it's a roided out Photochad with this build).

Also, I'm glad to have Showman done, especially after choking that one run with a (natural? I don't remember) negative Showman. It's a fun Joker, but its ability is so damn situational. Same for the Jolly Joker. It's a purposefully weak Joker that wins early blinds, but it's such a burden in the late game. That and the Crazy Joker are giving me plenty of trouble, because they take up a spot that could be used for econ, scaling, whatever. At least it was good cannon fodder for Crimson Heart to maybe disable. Triboulet is the third Legendary Joker done.

Regrettably missed Gold Stickers: Banaynay (not baiting myself anymore. Fool me once, I'm mad. Fool me twice, how could you? Fool me three times, you're officially that guy...) To the Moon, Seance (no space for either)

New Gold Stickers: Jolly Joker, Showman, Triboulet
3 new, 133 Gold Stickers total.
Erratic Deck 3

This deck was filled with so many lucky sevens, you could mistake it for a slot machine. I wanted to go for quads or Flush Fives, but the Clever Joker (later replaced by a Mad Joker after using my Invis Joker) kinda shoehorned me into playing Full Houses instead.

Just when I thought there will be no new Gold Sticker this run (for the first time in my journey), a Crazy Joker offered himself to be taken for a ride. It's a good thing, since now the only "Basic Jokers" (which is what I call the ones in the first page, plus maybe a few others), are the sinful Jokers (Lusty and Gluttonous, to be exact). Playing around a specific suit is way easier than playing around a specific hand type, especially Straights (even though they are my favourite hand type).

Regrettably missed Gold Stickers: Séance (not gonna pick it up if it's eternal and I don't have a full build yet)

New Gold Stickers: Crazy Joker
1 new, 134 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 5

THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BAITNANA DIED SO CLOSE TO THE END AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! (probably had to replace it at some point anyway, but still, I could have tried to replace something else)

Quite a weird start, and haven't had much stability throughout the whole run, despite the somewhat decent economy. That is, until I forgot Delayed Gratification and kept discarding, and ruined my interest because I thought Gratification money will flow in anyway (to be fair, I was fishing for my blue seal, unsuccessfully). Eventually, I noticed, and replaced Gratification with Banaynay (which then died...). So yeah, note to self: Delayed Gratification =/= Golden Joker.

I also sold a decently stacked Ceremonial Dagger for a +25 Stone Joker. It was a speculative purchase, and also pushing my Gold Stickers and seeing what I can get away with, considering my econ and having had just enough scoring for now. It was a controlled risk for sure, and I couldn't stack my Dagger anyway after buying The Duo (no space to feed my dagger), and Red Card is plenty of scaling.

Regrettably missed Gold Stickers: Banaynay (♥♥♥♥ this Joker for trolling me for the past few days), Delayed Gratification (if I knew that Banaynay will ♥♥♥♥ me up, I'd have kept it and I would have had a better econ -> more stability)

New Gold Stickers: Stone Joker, To the Moon
2 new, 136 Gold Stickers total.
Black Deck 6

After having been trolled by the game for too long, I stopped taking chances. My calculated risks were calculated, but still risky. Thus, a very good run died because I pushed my luck too much, and it didn't deliver. It wasn't particularly greedy (albeit still much greedier than just going for the win), I just got unlucky (one more steel, or really anything, selling a Chariot for more rolls was also a mistake). I dunno why I am torturing myself with Black Deck anyway, but it's unironically a fun deck to play. The early game is absolute hell though, but the late game is insane. I think I play it because the extra Joker slot is fairly expendable, making Completionist++ less griefy, and allowing for crazier builds, even without negatives.

Anyway, here's a buttclencher of a run. I'm sitting there with three Kings, hoping to draw the final one. If I didn't, I probably would have sold some Joker (probably The Family, because Banaynay is max priority after putting me through so much trouble). I also had a Photochad, but the Chad was perishable. Thank god I didn't replace it with Sock and Buskin with this final boss. I also eventually replaced the photo with one of my xMult Jokers (I think Hit the Road or Family).

I could have committed to taking Séance for a ride, but I decided that I really need The Duo for scoring. Not gonna take any uncalculated risks. I will still take risks where I can see the possible outcomes though, but I can't predict how the rest of the run will go. Too many variables, as opposed to thinking about the next few blinds only.

It's interesting. Despite there being less Jokers with each run, it actually becomes easier, as you don't have to handicap yourself with subpar Jokers. Then again, the subpar Jokers are the ones that remain at the end. Looking at you, Popcorn and Diet Cola. Why would I still be holding those at the end of a run?

New Gold Stickers: Gros Michel (Banaynay), Smeared Joker, The Family
3 new, 139 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 9

Replacing the 180$-ish Bootstraps with Mr Bones was a VERY calculated risk. Either I get away with an extra Gold Sticker, or I die and Mr Bones saves me. It all depends on the amount of Steel and Glass cards on my hand.

Cerulean Bell did me dirty though, by force-selecting exactly my steels. Thus, I just deathed that force-selected steel into a glass.

Again, the lack of a chip Joker. I think I went "Well, Chad is technically a chip Joker", so I had sold my actual chip Joker. I also just like to scale off planets for the late game (as suboptimal as it is, although Satellite made it more viable here), while a chip Joker enables the early game.
Truth be told, Chad does everything though, given enough time. It is chips, mult, xMult, econ, whatever you want, whenever you want.

New Gold Stickers: Gluttonous Joker, Mr Bones, Satellite
3 new, 142 Gold Stickers total.
Yellow Deck 6

The Bloodstone Gambit paid off. A few lucky procs, bonus cards and steels were enough to win against Verdant Leaf without Bloodstone, a Joker I relied on for majority of the run, nearly betrayed me several times, and ultimately was sold because Leaf. Flushes have terrible chip scaling, so I went all-in on Hierophants, and I wouldn't have space for a chip Joker anyway. Well, technically, retriggers are chips.
Anyway, the Bloodstone was trolling me. It didn't proc as much as I wanted it to do. The game is trolling me in general. By the time I'm finished, or the game is finished with me, I'll be standing upside down from all the tilt. I sold the Bloodstone because I had nothing to lose anyway.

I sold a Diet Cola for the Seltzer. I also saw a Séance, which I didn't pick up over Cola because Cola is trickier. Seltzer is stronger, but dies by itself, so it's higher priority. Before you ask: Yes, it was on its last tick.

New Gold Stickers: Seltzer
1 new, 143 Gold Stickers total.
Checkered Deck 4

Nothing happened (for the first time).

The hope was for Diet Cola to replace Four Fingers.

New Gold Stickers: None
0 new, 143 Gold Stickers total.
Checkered Deck 5

Something happened.

I played on Checkered Deck because I wanted to try hard for the Lusty Joker. There was also a Checkered Deck run where I got an early Séance, but it died from me forcing a Straight Flush too hard.

New Gold Stickers: Lusty Joker
1 new, 144 Gold Stickers total.
Magic Deck 2

Crazy scaling with Fortune Teller (sold for Séance), Grimbo, Constellation and Hologram. Whichever pack I open, I was guaranteed to scale.

I think the Gratification was a Banner that perished. Not quite sure whether something else took the spot anymore.

Something that terrifies me is that the only Jokers left are two legendary Jokers that kept trolling me (Canio with no removal, Perkeo with no consumable worth cloning) and two food Jokers (Popcorn dies on its own and I can't even cheese it with perishable, and Diet Cola is literal deadweight (unless Basey, Campfire or edition) if taken to the final Boss Blind).

New Gold Stickers: Delayed Gratification, Séance
2 new, 146 Gold Stickers total.
Zodiac Deck 2

Nothing ever happens, part 2. +70-ish mult Fancy Pants and x7 mult Obelisk still go hard though. Also, my chips were again carried by Hierophant and a few retriggers (Hack, Seltzer).

At this point, I accept that I always have to compensate for the late-game lack of chips with anything that isn't a Joker. I'm not even forced to collect random Gold Stickers anymore, so stickers aren't a valid excuse anymore. Am I cursed, or just reluctant to pick up chip Jokers? I don't think it matters anyway, as long as I can identify my build's weaknesses. Doesn't matter how I fix them, as long as I do fix them.

Tried to fish for Popcorn (or Diet Cola, but Popcorn is more likely to appear), but to no avail.

New Gold Stickers: None
0 new, 146 Gold Stickers total.
Abandoned Deck 10

Popcorn is done at last. Good riddance.

Flower Pot is such a tricky Joker to play around. With Burnt Joker (replaced by Popcorn), I had to discard at least one Two Pair, which means that I have to play around finding one of each suit while also purposefully screwing up my initial setup. Also, where the ♥♥♥♥ is Lovers when you need it? This was the perfect application for wild cards, which are already niche enough, but I only had a single wild card for the entire run. I was hoping that they'd make this run less stressful, if only they appeared.

As usual, no chips. This time, at least I know that I skipped a rental Clever Joker though.

Also, don't you just love when you can disrespect Verdant leaf by not selling a Joker? Just felt like mentioning it.

New Gold Stickers: Popcorn
1 new, 147 Gold Stickers total.
Intermission: Black Deck practice
(Black Deck 7-8)
Nothing ever happens, the third, fourth... No Diet Cola or Soul in these runs, but solid runs nonetheless. I'll combine the runs without a new Gold Sticker into one, as to not clutter the guide. But it's technically part of the C++ grind. Think of this as a filler arc.

I took the negative Idol for a ride, because why not? It appeared in Ante 8, looks badass and serves as a blocker for following uncommons (meaning higher likelihood for Diet Cola if I understand correctly).

As usual, Obelisk is still badass and goes hard. It must be one of my favourite Jokers.
With the trick of holding a Joker so it doesn't get shuffled, Luchador has greatly helped me not lose the Blueprint/Brainstorm in the chaos.

New Gold Stickers: None (It's a filler arc, after all. Nothing ever happens in filler arcs.)

Black Deck 9

Finally, I found Diet Cola and took it for a ride. Somewhat obvious fun fact, disabled Diet Cola gives no Double Tag. I think it's funny that it has an expiration date because you would sell it anyway.

There were a few moments where I was wondering whether my scoring is enough, but I've been bailed out at least twice. Once by Banaynay, and another time by Ramen replacing my perished Photo, while also turning situational 2 xMult into unconditional 2 xMult. The Steel Joker also appeared in the same shop, replacing a foil Riff-Raff that I picked up because foil. Speaking of special editions, that Idol was taken for a ride and only used for its polychome effect. Unfortunate that it rarely aligned with the cards I played, but expected, considering I've done very little deck fixing.

Can I be honest? I don't like Bull. It puts so much pressure on spending money, because it directly nerfs your scoring if you try to roll for something great and get nothing. A Satellite was my econ, until I ditched it for scoring once I had enough money.

Now, all that remains are legendary Jokers. This will be either reset hell, or a lucky run when I get bored of constant resets.

Green Deck 2

After many resets and a previous failed Perkeo run due to Black Deck being Black Deck, I finally got Perkeo again. I also did it on Green Deck, because I was salty about that one run on Green Deck weeks ago that shouldn't have died. I think it was the one that either had a face card-centered build vs the Plant, or the Flint quartering my score, and Hieroglyph briefly bailed me out, but came back to collect the debt and kill me with the missing hand.
I swear Perkeo has eternally trolled me all the time too.

Without the Burnt Joker that I got from a coincidental Polychrome Tag as I skipped for the Charm Tag, I feel that the run would have looked much spicier.

Now on to the special and predictable thing.

Ghost Deck 1 - FINALE

Behold, the special and predictable run!

Anyway, we are done. Ghost Deck for C+, and Canio for C++, immediately hexed for obvious reasons.

The holo Shoot the Moon really carried my ass in the mid-game after my 20-ish mult Swashbucker was disabled. I also had to prepare for that upcoming disaster, so I bought Ride the Bus, but replaced Space Joker instead of Swash. I still needed the immediate scoring for as long as I could have it, even if it meant replacing scaling with other scaling. However, Ride the Bus meant that I couldn't shatter any glass face cards anymore (of which I had one or two that shattered before that anyway, so no big deal). There was a Supernova that could re-enable me playing face cards and gave one more mult, but who am I to I sell my favourite Jimbo?

Also, imagine a Canio run where you spare Queens. What a true gentleman. Truth be told though, he was very restrained in general. There wasn't a lot of removal this run. Typical, as that's how previous Canio runs ended as well.

There also weren't many shop spectral cards this run either. Only the starting Hex, one Ankh (that would nuke my lineup), another Hex (that would nuke my lineup), and an Ectoplasm (instant purchase, because I was playing face cards and the hand size didn't matter much).

It's funny that I picked up two Red Seal Steel face cards from one Mega Standard Pack near the end. They contributed a lot. And of course, Cerulean Bell isn't much of a boss fight, but that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ALWAYS force selects my steels. I won the blind, but he won the psychological game.

I didn't plan for the last Joker to be a legendary, but it was the most likely outcome. The Ghost Deck being the only deck that was missing sucked though. It would have probably been an excellent deck for C++ if I didn't commit to the gimmick of C+/C++ at the same time.

Fun fact, the follow-up run to trigger the achievements had both the Needle and the Eye, while I relied on a 9 xMult Card Sharp. The victory lap was just out to break me mentally. On that run, Blueprint almost bailed me out. I could just afford it (with Clearance Sale). Before that, my Banner was close to perishing, so I replaced it with a holo Basey, which perished as well. Alas, Card Sharp was hard-countered.

The End
This concludes my journey to Completionist++. It is of course not the entire story, but a snapshot of all the victories. Some runs were recorded (including tragic losses), but I'm having some trouble with storage space, so I could only selectively record some of them. If only I weren't too big of a coward to stream my gameplay...

Speaking of tragic losses, maybe I should write another section about runs that weren't meant to be.

I regret not paying attention and documenting to how many runs I've done vs how many runs I've won. Would have been an interesting statistic to have.
