The day has finally arrived - it's time to play chess in Don't Starve!

I accidentally came across an ancient video showing a foreign player using their self-made mod to move chess pieces. However, it looked even more complicated than moving statues, and the complex code commands would discourage many players. Therefore, the core modification in my mod is quick movement of chess pieces and a staff for quickly generating a chessboard with all pieces.

How to Play?
Convenient and intuitive chess piece operation
Press ALT once on the statue you want to move. The selected piece will continuously shake as a prompt.
A preview piece will then be generated following your cursor position.
Left-click somewhere to move the piece there.
Right-click to cancel.

Capturing Pieces

If there's an enemy piece at your destination square, you'll capture it.
Pawn Promotion Mechanism
In chess, when a pawn reaches the last rank, it can be promoted to a higher-ranking piece.
Press the middle mouse button on a pawn piece to generate a preview piece.
Use the scroll wheel to switch to your desired piece, then left-click to confirm.
Right-click to cancel.

Chessboard Terrain Generator
Crafting Recipe

Right-click to generate a complete chess board with all pieces at cursor position

Right-click to use, temporarily replacing surrounding terrain with a complete chess board.
Each use clears the previous board and restores original terrain, useful for quickly resetting the board and pieces.
Comes with complete chess pieces: 16 pawns, 4 knights, 4 rooks, 4 bishops, 2 kings, 2 queens.
Does not delete any buildings or entities.
Does not create land over water.
Configuration
Language: Switch between Chinese and English for in-game text prompts.
Enable "Don't Move When Clicking Ground": Recommended to enable, so you won't move around while operating chess pieces.
Shortcut key for "Don't Move When Clicking Ground": Quickly enable or disable within the game.
Do You Have Better Suggestions?
In this mod, I've only added methods for quick chess piece operation, tools for quickly generating the board, and interactions between pieces. I haven't added any rules, but rather tried to recreate the experience of playing chess in real life. If you're not familiar with chess, you can search online - the rules are quite easy to remember. So, please follow the rules conscientiously. All I can do is provide maximum convenience and recreate the chess playing experience. Finally, I hope everyone has fun playing the game!
