Seehund Midget Submarine

Description
Seehund - 1:1 Midget Submarine
Ahoy there! This is a recreation of compact WW2-era midget submarine. The Seehund may be small, but it's got a bite! Great for stealth missions, solo dives, or taking a friend on a historic undersea patrol.

Specifications
  • Speed: 13 knots (surfaced)
  • Range: 160 km
  • Armament: 2x G7e electric torpedoes
  • Crew: 1-2 (Commander & Engineer) — fully solo-capable
  • Lights: Interior lights, mast light, and equipment
  • Propulsion: Small diesel engine and an electric engine for underwater use

How to Use
  • Enter through the top hatch
  • Crank the diesel engine to life manually (behind engineer’s seat)
  • Use clutch (right of commander's seat) to engage motion
Diving
  • Use air pump (above engine) to fill compressed air tank
  • Important: Close air & exhaust valves before submerging
  • Optional: Switch to Electric/Generator mode with key at engineer's panel
  • Fill ballast tanks at engineer’s station
  • Manually steer and control depth via diving planes (commander’s seat)

Advanced Tips
  • Monitor air & exhaust levels (lower left of engineer’s panel)
  • Interior air quality shown at both stations
  • Compensate trim after firing one torpedo with side compensation tanks (ballast control panel)
  • Keybind 1: Speed boost — drains battery quickly!
  • Manual bilge pump left of commander’s seat (check water levels up front)

For the observant few, this is the second, updated Seehund I have made.

Hah, thanks for noticing @Darkness. As you surmised, all of that is intentional XD
It's a bit of a submarine simulation, of a sort.

pretty nice sub, but it seems to like to over heat, sink when it is first spawned (due to air valve being open) as well as the lack of depth hold is a bit annoying, but it is based on an old sub so ill be fine without it

Interesting idea @alekslilsolo. The Italians had something similar with their human torpedoes during ww2, a ship that would release them from a flooded airlock in the bottom of the hull. Not this lil guy though haha
