Description
Adds a recycling station and tugboats to Split.
I removed the gate connection tweaks from my initial mod and only took out the recycling part and enhanced it.
The recycling module is exclusive to Split and produces three goods: hull parts, engine parts, and weapon components.
It will likely have a positive impact on Split's economy.
The old mod will still work, but if you want to add a more robust scrap processing economy while still maintaining split gate connections, this newer mod is the way to go.
It will likely be save compatible, but mid-removal is probably not possible due to the way the mod works.

The only real fix is to correct or remove the mod that uses such an improper patch.
But in my experience, it is often difficult to identify which mod is doing this.
I am sorry, but this is not an issue I can resolve.

For example, I once had the same problem with the mod FOCW corporations.
It not only added factions but also replaced the root node of wares.xml, breaking many unrelated mods.
In the end, removing FOCW corporations from my list made all the other affected mods work properly again.

If your mod list includes one of those “large overwrite” mods, you may encounter bugs even if you remove my mod, because the underlying issue persists.
These inappropriate overwrites remove references or disable patches that should work, breaking many otherwise functional mods.

The encyclopedia being disabled is a classic symptom of this type of conflict.
Most likely, one of your mods is replacing the entire root node of wares.xml.
This is a very poor patching method and will disable many other mods.
Unfortunately, many users misinterpret this situation — they remove a mod that seems broken, see the symptom disappear, and report it as a bug, when in fact the real culprit remains.

Unfortunately, the method you described is not sufficient to identify a real bug.
The symptom you reported is not caused by this mod itself, but by a conflict with another mod.
When loaded alone, this mod does not produce the issue — even in my test saves with over 100 mods combined.
I have confirmed this on both versions 7.60 and 8.00.

This mod uses the smallest possible patches. There is nothing further I can do on my side.
Such conflicts usually occur when another mod applies the same changes, or when a mod replaces internal data in an inappropriate way without warning.

I encountered one bug - this mod disables the entire encyclopedia. Version 7.6, found it by disabling mods one by one.:steamsad:

Gonna give this a try but probably won't save them now that they turned hostile to me... I haven't gone after them yet but I've just started to go around some problematic area that the xenon are occupying...
I know then the diplomacy update come around and I'll start a new game they will have a better chance against xenon xD
