Description
A Wendy rework from a Willow main. The general idea is: less health on Wendy; a much harder time with Sanity; and, nerfed, unstackable and perishable Ghostly Elixirs.

Wendy was already strong before Sisturn, and her skilltree only spoils her more. And since most of DST's new content has been and will continue to be combat-based, her sister with that sweet free AOE damage will only be more and more valuable. I don't like how Wendy can do a whole run without crafting a single weapon, parasitizing on her sister. I don't like how Abigail can feed an entire server of Wolfgangs with one single flower. I don't like how dirt cheap these potions cost to craft, and how long they last. The very idea of playing a facile character displeases me so much, that I hardly touch Wendy outside of custom game modes. So in our rework:

LESS HEALTH. Don't Starve, with less characters, was also rigorous on the rule of unique traits: the DS character and gameplay traits were repartitioned such that no trait recurred across different characters. Since Maxwell and Wes took the less-health and the no-health traits, Wendy had to content herself with the her two main traits of hitting softer and being able to summon a ghostly friend. Was it by the same clientelism that they did not adjust her health like they did for Wickerbottom, as the clientelism that made them grovel to a certain demographic for whom Wendy was nothing but a fantasy of sororal parasitism? It only makes sense that Wendy should have no more health than Walter, with whom she also shares her age.

VARIABLE MAX SANITY. Wendy will start with 100 max sanity. Summoning Abigail, she will have more max sanity based on Abigail's total health. A fully leveled-up Abigail also at max health will give Wendy the 200 sanity she has in Vanilla. And ABIGAIL's death will now make you go insane. Entirely.

SPELLS now cost 1 sanity, same as staves, and summoning, unsummoning, riling up and soothing too. This sounds big but then again there are only so many bosses you're fighting with Abigail so this mechanic is a really clever way to make you think twice before falling back onto a routinal reliance on Abigail for every everyday combat. On the flip side, HAUNTING will now ALWAYS convert Flowers to Evil Flowers, and SCARE will now also make Slurtles and Snurtles come out of their shell, and Rock Lobsters from their shield.

RECIPES. All Ghostly Elixirs and other magical Wendy items will cost an additional 10 sanity to craft, because they are powerful magic items, because there should be a inflexible limiting factor to make them less spammable, because this also to help Wendy drop sanity for farming nightmare fuel, something she seriously have trouble doing, and because I myself am really attached to the old rule of having three ingredients for all important recipes. The recipes for Butterfly and Moon Moth are back to one Mourning Glory, because one is a prettier and simpler number. But they do also cost the same 10 sanity.

ELIXIRS. All elixirs are unstackable, and perish into Mourning Glory after 10 days, which itself perishes into nothing after another 10 days, because everything good perishes. The Picnic Basket will serve as a fridge that slows their perishing down by half. The duration on all elixirs, apart from the Beyond elixirs, is halved. The skilltree buff on the duration is down from +100% to +50%, because doubling the duration is excessive. On the one hand, I hate hoarding to the point of hating the very suggestion of hoarding, as expressed in these stacks, and also in the spammable nature of the vanilla recipes, and, on the other hand, it's nice to have a reason to seek out Pipspook just before important boss battles to brew your elixirs, instead of brewing out, by the gross, an entire year's elixir on day one.

NIGHTSHADE NOSTRUM. Nightshade Nostrum is now a Super Elixir, like the Beyond elixirs, because it is a mode of being and not just a debuff like the other basic elixirs. This means that you can have the Nightshade Nostrum at the same time as one of the healing or shield buffs. The recipes has been changed from a stinger to a butterfly wing. Butterfly Wings definitely make more sense, by thematic association, and also as a magical ingredient in the fictional universe of the Constant: they are free-spirited, innocent, and diurnal creatures that would be absent in a Lights-Out world.

SHADOW SISTERHOOD III. Instead being restricted to the very convoluted "murder" action, shadow Abigail now requires a living sacrifice, and an innocent one: now, whenever Wendy kills an innocent creature, Abigail will get the shadow buff according to the corresponding naughtiness, with the same 8-seconds, but per naughtiness. Shall we now sacrifice Glommer for Abigail for a whole day of shadow Abigail? Killing is defined by having attacked the creature within 2 seconds of its death.

VEX is removed, by setting its basic damage multipliers from 1.1x and 1.3x down to 1.0x. It was such a tormented algorithm that it was painful to my eyes seeing the damage and it hurt my mind just knowing that it was there. Vex elixirs will still be effective.

REVENANT RESTORATIVE now costs 40 health instead of 1 Spider Gland.

GRAVE URN now costs 1 Empty Bottle + 1 Mourning Glory. The bottle recycles. Carrying a spirit will weigh on you, imposing a 10% sanity penalty. You will only be able to relocate spirits, and not bare gravestones, so only gravestones with Pipspook already spawned.

ROSES. All flowers planted by Wendy all be Roses.

GRAVESTONES now cost 7 Dark Petals, up from 4. But every skeleton Wendy buries will immediately spawn Pipspook. You can also bury scorched skeletons, and set up tombstones for Mounds without a proper gravestone.

ABIGAIL now counts towards Wendy's naughtiness.

HAUNT ABIGAIL'S FLOWER to revive yourself, but a the cost of Abigail's life... and her flower.
