Better Caravan Guards

Description
Introduction
Somewhere along the way, the poor regular Caravan Guards seemed to have lost the right to develop into a better and more experienced version of themselves. They do the work, they get the necessary experience, so why don't they get the upgrades? Well, no more of this injustice!

My intention was to make a little change in the files, just linking the Caravan Guards to their Veteran counterparts in an upgrade tree. I got a little carried away, though, and did a bit more than that.

What this mod does (TLDR version)
  1. Regular Caravan Guards are able to upgrade into Veteran Caravan Guards, for every one of the factions. Upgrades require a warhorse, as every Veteran Guard is now riding one, appropriate to their culture.

  2. Every guard has more possible equipment they can spawn with, but their roles in general are more consistent across upgrades.

What this mod does (longer version)
Other than simply linking Caravan Guards to Veteran Guards, I altered their appearance a little bit, to add more variation in how they look. After all, they aren't supposed to be professional troops, so I made them look a little more rag-tag. But at the same time, I added a little bit more consistency between upgrades. Aserai Veteran Caravan Guards, for instance, are no longer horse archers and now carry a two-handed axe just like their predecessors. At the same time, Imperial Veteran Caravan Guards now also carry crossbows, for the same reasons. For a more detailed list of features for every faction's guards, check the "Specific roles" section below.

I tried to make sure to give every guard culturally appropriated equipment, respecting balance, which means not every faction is as varied as another. In general, mostly every guard received a little bit of an upgrade that way, but not too much as to not overshadow professional soldier troops of the same tier.

This is perfect for merchant-style playthroughs, or even mercenaries, but it is also for people who want to add a little more flavor to their armies by using less professional and more rag-tag troops.

Specific roles
  1. Aserai carry big two-handed axes just like the original basic Caravan Guards, but I gave one to their tier 5 versions as well. I also removed their one-handed weapon, so that the AI actually uses their massive axes correctly.

  2. Battania, Sturgia and Vlandia are your general Polearm + Shield chargers, differing a bit in armor and speed/agility.

  3. Empire has crossbows across the board, I extended this to tier 5 as well.

  4. Khuzait tier 4 (regular Caravan Guards) are now also horse archers.

Compatibility
The mod just alters existing files and doesn't add anything new technically, which means it is perfectly safe to install and uninstall mid-save. And yes, I tested that.

It should be compatible with any mod that doesn't alter the caravan guards directly (and even then, you can probably still load it after that other mod if you want to overwrite it with these changes).
