Description
In 2000, Hupac SA, one of the leading rail transport providers of intermodal traffic through the Swiss Alps, rented the very first Siemens EuroSprinter not being built for state railway companies. Within three months Hupac decided to buy the silver painted machine. In 2001 two extra machines were purchased, in the next year they became the very first ES64U2 locomotives homologated for Switzerland. Now the three machines are used throughout Germany and Switzerland by Hupac and its partners.
