Blueprints Expanded

An updated and improved Blueprint mod - now with settings transfer and material swapping.



Current latest Version: 1.7.0



Features
  • Storing and placing of blueprints - copy large structures in an instant
  • Snapshot tool - quick copying without blueprint creation
  • Blueprint Selection UI - select from all your blueprints, neatly arranged as a list
  • Compatible with existing blueprints - blueprints created from the original blueprint mod (and its fixed version) are imported
  • Settings Transfer - blueprints now store building settings on creation and apply them when placed (if you find this not working for a setting, please notify me; does not apply to blueprints of the old mod)
  • Material Swapping - when placing a blueprint, you now get a preview of the material list with the option to swap out missing materials for available ones. You can also store these swaps permanently as new copies of the blueprints
  • Apply Settings from blueprint - paste a blueprint onto existing buildings to transfer stored settings
  • Force rebuild with blueprint materials - hold "F" to rebuild existing buildings with the material specified in the blueprint
  • Rebuilding Settings Transfer - building settings that can be stored in a blueprint are now preserved on rebuilding (this does not include world specific settings like duplicant specific settings)
  • Preconfigure planned buildings - by using blueprint settings transfer, you now can change settings on planned buildings in advance.

Make sure to disable other blueprint mod variants when using this mod.

Make also sure you do NOT have the mod "Debug Console // by @Ony 👾" enabled as it breaks the game internally and makes the log useless for debugging!

Update Loop / Mod marked as incompatible?

Your OneDrive is breaking folder access, preventing the game from writing mod files.
Turn it off for your documents folder as described in Klei's Troubleshooter guide[support.klei.com]

is there any place to share bps? Would love to have some nice builds by others to use on occassion. (Or maybe have the mod come with a few preloaded ones? <3)

I don't usually find mods compelling enough to comment, but this mod is a game changer. When it comes to being able to replicate a design in a hurry, like automation control circuits for instance or hydra/SPOM designs, this thing can't be beat. Biggest QOL in however many hundred hours I've clocked so far.

@Derrick, you'd be surprised at how many other people also have "memory problems" when it comes to ONI. I use blueprints of 'basic things' all the time in my playthrough.

Mechanical filters, for example, which are nothing but a small pipe loop and a single mechanical valve. Can't get much easier to remember than that, yet I had a bad habit of running the pipes backwards more often than not when I would build one. Blueprinted a few 'correct' ones (for both gas and liquid and multiple directions of flow) and never had that problem again. :)
