Gunfire Causes Hearing Loss [B42+]

Description
This mod offers a realistic way to gain hearing loss, through the exposure of gunfire.

HOW IT WORKS
The mod uses a hidden counter to track every gunshot.

Repeated gunfire in a short amount of time can result in a TTS (Temporary Threshold Shift) aka Hard of Hearing. Long-term use of firearms can result in a PTS (Permanent Threshold Shift) aka Deafness.

Fire too many shots in a single hour and you might suffer TTS. Shooting in confined-spaces will also result in higher stress on your eardrums. TTS doesn't last too long, only a few hours. It isn't until you've shot around 1,000 rounds (or so) that you will suffer PTS.

But don't worry! You can easily avoid this by wearing ear protection (Ear Muffs & Ear Protectors). When worn, they completely negate the effects of gunfire. Leveling up your aiming skills will also reduce the counter significantly.

PTS WARNINGS: Tinnitus and Pulsatile Tinnitus

I've added audio-based warnings that signify if you're approaching the PTS threshold or if you've triggered TTS. First you'll hear a slight pulsating sound, then overtime, it will progress to louder ringing in your ears.

FORGIVING VERSION
There is a second version for players seeking a less punishing and slightly more realistic system.

Key Differences:
- Tracks explosions and could add a massive amount of "trauma" value based on the distance.
- You have a chance to recover from HOH, Deaf, and to regain Keen Hearing.
- This recovery chance is daily. If you fail these recovery rolls 4-5 times, the condition becomes permanent.

(All credit goes to UattO for making this version)

@Dbroussa it doesn't sadly, by default ear protectors spawn as the vanilla ones, just don't click the option to turn them into the AZ ones, (the ones that have no hearing impairement and can be worn on the neck)

@Dbroussa I don't know. I don't use that mod personally

Does this work with Authentic Z's ear protectors?

@kindertak Every gun, modded or vanilla has a set sound radius. Every shot you make adds that number to the counter. For vanilla firearms, you can find their specific sound radius number on pzwiki.

VERY cool mod, i just would like to know how exactly does the counter work? does every gun count as the same one, is it custom-picked for each vanilla gun or is it based on some parameter like sound radius?

Hi all, please note that if you're using the Pack Mule mod then you need to disable their new ear protector slot via their mods sandbox options. Otherwise, ear protection will not work

@unlockk I honestly don't know. It's possible that that could cause issues
