This mod is a simple patch which stops bounties from generating on Gas Giants. This specific patch is for use with Landable Gas Giants 2 and was requested by Kinsect.

Theoretically this patch should work for both Landable Gas Giants 1 and 2, since both mods share the same gas giant planet type ids (namely gasgiant and gasgiant_forest). LGG2 simply adds additional planet types which I cover in this new patch. The patch I made for the first mod is still available as well and is linked below.

For best use, first get Landable Gas Giants 2 Mod.

You don't *need* it, however this mod will not do anything without it.

If instead you have the original Landable Gas Giants mod, I have also made a patch specifically for that version of the mod as well.

--- TROUBLESHOOTING ---

At times, bounties may still generate on gas giants once this mod is installed. If this is the case, try the following:

- Drop and reacquire quests
It may be necessary to do this a number of times to flush out quests which have already generated on gas giants.

Eventually as quests are pushed to new systems without preexisting bounty dungeons, this should cease to be an issue.

The other problem is gas giants are end game planets, and can generate with threat levels close to 10. Which I just discovered 😆

The problem is that often times you can get bounties on gas giants at lower levels aaaand.... Since you are a lower level you probably don't have enough money to buy a flying vehicle to navigate gas giants yet (if you even have a mod that adds a flying vehicle) and so you get stuck and can't progress for a while.

So, yeah, that's the issue.

So out of curiosity why were bounties on Gas Giants a problem? I've been playing with the patch but I never saw what the issue was without it (I have not played the mod without the patch though)
