Germany rules from behind thousands of syndicates that all control their local provicnes. But many are seeing the end of communism on the horizon, and the cracks starting to show in the communist ideology. Burgundy dreams of glory and empire. The British, drained and fragile, clings to its miniscule, shrinking empire with valor and silence. In the east, the Tsar prays with one hand and slaughters with the other, the Balkans burn quietly beneath the surface, and Italy is a ghost of itself—an isolated empire. Africa is a state of uncertainty, but peace. As fragile unions continue to hold on and survive, But many question, considering the radical ideologies showing support in some regions, how longer?

Puppet states smile through clenched teeth. Treaties hold, but barely. The world is at peace, but about to break

Lore (VERY wip) :

The Great War didn’t end in 1918. It dragged on—fracturing empires, spreading revolution, and poisoning peace itself.

The Allies performed better than expected, but the Kaiser was dead-set on winning the war, whether it destroy his country or worse.

By 1921, after nearly a decade of bloodshed, a military coup led by Alfred von Schlieffen overthrew the Kaiser. However, he and his small circle of supporters, took refuge to Papua New Guinea, engaging in guerilla warfare with whoever dared to try to invade. Now, mainly defense has been set up along the border, as clashes still frequently happen. When the war ended, the world signed an armistice—not out of victory, but collapse. Borders froze. Mass desertion happened. Powers regrouped. Offensives halted. Logistics stopped supplying troops. The International Armistice Council rose from the wreckage, weak but necessary.

The German People, and leftist parties, viewed this as the same military dictatorships, and marched up to the streets to take arms. What followed was a bloody civil war from 1921-1925, which saw Schlieffen and his supporters to flee to East Prussia while the mainland saw a syndicalist Germany rise up. A couple revolutions happened in Austria-Hungary aswell, which saw some new territories teaming up with Germany themselves. However, many doubt syndicalism will continue into the coming decades. Only time will see if these predictions will be correct.

In 1933, the US collapsed in on itself, many thinking out of the blue. But many saw this was happening. The Great Depression had hit way harder than expected, and 1 Republic and 1 Despot State rose out of the former U.S, who had now fled to Alaska and Hawaii. Columbia, and the Great Western Union. West of the Rockies, it was GWU territory. However, this tense situation became even worse in 1943. By this time, the 2 nations were still in the Great eDpression, and this all became worse when East Pacifica, Florida, and Texas declared their independence. This led to an even worse situation across the mainland, and a Great American War pursued. It lasted for a measly 2 years before their war capabilities were non-existent. In the chaos, Canada took control of New England and a few other areas so as to “keep their borders secured and peaceful”. Now, in 1976, hope is emerging once again, but after all this time, can the US catch up to the new superpowers, China and Russia?

Chinese Republicans, without the threat of the Japanese Army due to the Japanese’s continuous isolation, could focus internally. While this didn’t totally wipe out all threats, it secured an almost certain victory for them. The Technocrats rose up to power in 1955, and have made China the worlds only true Superpower, ever in history up to this point. The population has skyrocketed to ~1.24 billion people, and have constructed skylines that reach the skies and go on for hundreds of miles. But there is a chance the Monarchists or Communists have strategic victories and pose a real threat to the Technate, but that would never happen. Right?

Russia is a frozen empire of faith and fear. The Tsardom rose from the ashes of the civil war in 1933-1936. A brief but turning point for the Russian Empire. Led by the Romanovs and backed by Orthodox Partisans, loyalist generals, and the Entente themselves, after an IAA resolution ratified to intervene in the conflict in 1935. Russia is armed. Russia is paranoid. And the Tsar has visions. But, will imperialism live in the coming years, or is Russia destined towards another turning point?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, in 1976, the world stands on a knife’s edge. The sudden decolonization in the early-mid 70’s, mainly through violence, left Africa a burning mess, that still erupts to this day. Nations rebuilt from ruins. New ideologies rose from the ashes of old oclonial rule. But behind every handshake is a loaded gun. The scars remain, and history whispers that it’s not finished.

The peace holds.
For now.
