Auto Level 1 Growables

Description
Ensures that all growable buildings placed with mods like Ploppable RICO Revisited or Plop the Growables automatically start at Level 1 which allows them to grow naturally based on their surroundings.

Custom assets like growable buildings from the Steam Workshop can sometimes have higher levels when plopped with the above tools. This can lead to:
  • Unbalanced gameplay for natural cities
  • Missing services / land value issues
  • Broken education and workforce demands
This mod ensures that all buildings always start as a Level 1 building and can naturally grow depending on the services around it.

Technical Notes:
  • The mod checks for new buildings being placed and resets their level to 1.
  • Works with all custom RICO assets.
  • Lightweight and safe to use with other mods such as Ploppable RICO Revisited or Plop the Growables automatically start at Level 1.
  • No known incompatibilities.

Thanks for changing the game from "down arrow clicking simulator" to Cities Skylines for me =) I have had no issues with this mod, only time saved.

Thanks! I am surprised there have been so many people subscribed to this mod. I thought I was the only one with this issue. However I haven't noticed buildings resetting to the default level. Does that happen with specific buildings? If so, can you check if it happens with a specific custom asset and link it? That way I can try to debug the issue and maybe push a fix.

Great concept for a mod, I've been finding buildings reset to the default level when you re-load a saved game though. Is this a setting somewhere? (only other mods running are RICO, Find it, and Harmony)

After some testing I found out it's not caused by this mod or anything, I just can't get any RICO buildings (with rico mod only) to level up :/

In that case I'd suggest to reach out to the mod creators of Ploppable RICO. Does it only happen with this mod installed + Ploppable RICO? If so, I can try to check why and add it as a known issue!

Happy to hear it's useful for other people! There is an option in the "Ploppable RICO Revisited" mod that automatically locks the building level of plopped growables. I'd check that first.

Amazing, just as I was looking for something like this!

Any idea why buildings that have any RICO settings stay on lvl 1 and don't want to level up? No matter what level I set them in RICO, they will always stay on 1...
