[Template] Unusual Things Playground

Description
⚠️ Please read the Warning section below before playing or editing this level!

Level Description
A template level containing objects that are not meant to be in Level Editor, including a leftover feature from the hit game from 2023 called The Talos Principle 2!

The level also contains some base game mechanics so that you can test interactions between unusual objects.

Contents
This episode contains 2 level templates, one which has the default ground (terrain) and one that doesn't have it where the entire level is above water.

The template level contains following items that cannot normally be accessed in the editor:
  • Medieval Torch (lit)
  • Snake Torch (lit)
  • Axe
  • Jetpack
  • Window Frame
  • NPC
  • "OG" laser receiver (red)
  • Tetromino Map
  • Tombstone
  • Tombstone (final)
  • Controllable player clone (from The Talos Principle 2)

How to Use
  1. Subscribe to this workshop item
  2. Open the Steam Library folder of the drive in which your copy of The Talos Principle: Reawakened is installed (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam[/b1])
  3. From that folder, open steamappsworkshopcontent28066403436337829
  4. Copy the following leve file of your choice to your custom episode's folder:
    • 0.level for the template WITH the default ground
    • 1.level for the template WITHOUT the default ground (ocean only)
  5. Start editing the level in your custom episode!

Warning (Please read!!)
  • DO NOT use modded items from this level in official puzzle contests unless modded items are explicitly allowed in the rules!
  • Modded items in this level are not officially supported by the game developers, and any glitches from items in this level should not be reported as genuine bugs.
  • Some of the modded items are quite unstable and may crash the game randomly while editing the level or when restarting from checkpoint. To avoid losing your creation, SAVE OFTEN!
  • When editing the terrain size in level settings, make sure the level has no PLAYER (controllable clone) objects. Either copy the player object into your clipboard and remove it from the level before editing the terrain size, or paste the player object from another level after editing the terrain size. Editing the terrain size when the level has any player objects WILL crash the game.
  • Killing an NPC or a player clone that's not being controlled will crash the game. Auto turrets can kill them, but mines are safe to use as they do not explode near NPCs or player clones.

Hi! Can I add you as friend? I am interested in finding/importing things in the editor!
At the same time I wanted to ask if you would update the level(Qoqqi found some new things-snowman-small cube-small connector-heavens' gates etc.) and maybe you have too!)

how do you copy this stuff into puzzles?

The combination of a recording machine, a clone, and a jetpack could be used to create a puzzle that has never been done before.

I've only took a glimpse of new files in the assets of the retail version but there are dozens of new things that can be imported! I'm planning to post an updated version of the level soon.

Nice! I made several mind control puzzles thanks to your discovery, but they are unlisted now. Have you found new stuff yet?
