CH SBB RABe 512 Kiss 160

With the IR-Dostos RABe 512 Kiss 160, SBB is strengthening its fleet with a proven vehicle type and combining it with the advantages of newer trains. The 60 new vehicles offer travellers more comfort. Over a length of 150 metres, the six-car multiple units offer 466 seats.

The low-floor IR-Dosto trains allow barrier-free boarding for all travellers. The interior corresponds to the long-distance standard and offers 2+1 seating in 1st class. High-quality seats, power sockets, easily accessible bicycle spaces (eight in total at two locations, with sockets for electric bikes), multifunctional compartments with space for pushchairs, five toilets and a modern information system are provided throughout the train.

The trains will mainly run on IR and RE lines around Zurich and will also be used in western Switzerland.
