PEACHY!
The long awaited Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach, arrives into Rivals of Aether! She's no damsel in distress here, prepared to take on anyone with her slaps, rainbows, hearts, and turnips.

Background
Name: Peach Toadstool
Series Origin: Super Mario
Debut: Super Mario Bros. (NES, 1985)

Overview
Like in her Smash Bros. appearances and her source game, Peach is a floaty fighter who may be slow but has plenty of strong attacks and turnips to dish out plenty of damage. Her air game is her strong suit, having excellent aerials to combo and extend her assault.


Special Mechanic: Hover/Float
By holding the jump button and/or holding the down input while airborne, Peach can Hover in the air for a limited time. She can perform air attacks and certain specials in place during in her hover state. This mechanic gives Peach an excellent way to control space, makes recovering easier and helps extend her combos.

Moveset:


NSpecial: Rage

Peach becomes angry and engulfs herself in flames, damaging anyone who is near her. Deals burn damage.
As of V2, not only the flames are bigger but Peach can walk in either direction by inputting the movement key/stick during the move's initial startup.

FSpecial: Peach Bomber

Peach rams into her foe with her huge...uh, peach and slams into them. If her opponent is burned, this attack with consume the burn and deal massive damage and knockback instead.

USpecial: Peach Parasol

Peach ascends into the air with her umbrella and then gently flies down. Can be cancelled into pratfall by double tapping down.

DSpecial: Turnip

Peach plucks up and turnip off the ground. Due to Rivals not having items, Peach instead carries it overhead and won't perform her usual moves unless she throws it away. She no longer has the random chance of getting powerful turnips or items but makes up for it with her turnip being relativity powerful from the start to compensate.

Wanted to point out, sometimes Peach Bomber ignores enemies on fire. Like it just passes through them. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it ignores them during the tick damage of burn status.

@Dash I'll consider the air DSpecial. I'm also aware of the air dodge lockout as well so I'm currently figuring it out what's causing it.

More suggestions on my part; noticed Peach cannot air dodge after throwing a vegetable. She seems locked out of it.

This is just an idea, but how would you feel about making aerial Down Special into a ground pound-like move? Like a downward Peach Bomber that can spike early (bury opponents who are not in the air), since she seems to have an animation for Down Special in the air but does nothing. The attack can bounce her upwards off her foe's head (the late hit can spike or not, up to you).

Before I mentioned Up Strong being not very good, noticed that Up Tilt shares the long startup/endlag weakness too.

Just wanna say, I'm noticing the changes you're making and really appreciative you're taking suggestions, it means so much! She's already looking even better than before, still not perfect but she'll get there. I wanna see her become something really great considering she's the ONLY Peach on workshop

I'm sure you're already on it, but there's a lot of attacks that need some work still.
Back Air is doing 3% damage and only lasts 3 frames.
Up Strong's endlag is ungodly... You could take a nap and still punish her lol. It's not strong enough to warrant such long endlag, basically just don't use it.
Forward Tilt is tiny... Down Tilt does pretty much everything better than Forward Tilt.
Peach Bomber... okay, this does not need a THREE second cooldown lol. Visually, it looks weird on hit, she just appears facing them right after connecting and it lacks the heart-splosion (try Amy Rose's heart effect over on FelixBlobDev's workshop).

Not nitpicking btw, really glad someone FINALLY made a Peach, just trying to help lol

I noticed that Peach's startup for her FStrong ends instantly the moment you hold up or down.

You might have an outdated version. Try restarting Rivals or unsub and then resub Peach.
