This map was originally developed for Team Fortress 2.
This version of the map is for cinematic purposes, the model animations are still there but the functional behavior of the meka corresponds to the original TF2 version.

As far as I know, the takedowns were real, because Nintendo was being Nintendo and crying over a decade old game because someone put Mario in it, but now that Nintendo's calmed down and moved on I don't think Valve and Facepunch care anymore.
