Description
Welcome to Cyantine City, taking place a few years after the events of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 in an abandoned overgrown city that has been reclaimed by rebels. For unknown reasons, the combine have returned to the city.

This is a sandbox map with optional objectives and collectables intended for exploration.

ATTENTION THIS IS IMPORTANT
This map may NOT run well on all computers, I have tried to optimize it but due to it being large, detailed and open, it can lag in some areas. I had to add a render distance to props in order for the map to at least be playable.
This map is technically unfinished as there are a lot of empty areas and was supposed to feature a lot of scripted scenes and an entire underground area. There was also supposed to be a boss fight at the top of the tower.
Normally I wouldn't upload an unfinished map but I cannot finish/fix it with my current abilities and I want to move on to other maps. I am uploading it so people can play it, as I don't want my vision for the map to be completely lost.
I hope you can understand.

There is a missing texture at the entrance to the tower, and a floating rebel in the cyber cafe. I may or may not get around to fixing them

Map does NOT contain a navmesh, and ONLY contains AI nodes in certain areas.

Map name: cyantine_city (found in the "Others" tab)

This map contains content that is NOT created or owned by me, I was given permission to use content from the addons "Enhanced Headcrab Prep", "HL2 Props Extended", and "HL2 Leak Props" If anyone has a problem regarding content used from other addons, please reach out in the comments!
Credit to the game Zenless Zone Zero for some ideas and content. There may be some textures/models/sounds used that I don't know the owners of. All other content belongs to Valve.

yes I agree with you, but the map is unfinished and not properly optimized as it says in the description. I have no idea how to fix it/finish it and I didn't want it to be forgotten about on my computer so I uploaded it so people could at least see what I made

awesome map dude! the ending is a bit anticlimactic, so you should have it be the combine is protecting experimental technology up there and the reason there was so little combine is cuz they got an alert and now you get ambushed at the top by elites, soldiers, manhacks and stuff and it should play boss music and stuff and when it's over the experimental tech should be destroyed in a big light or something

Such a cool map, loved the exploration, the secrets, the vibes. Only wish it was a bit harder, there's very few enemies and you get constant health pickups.
