I think an expansion mechanic would also work well, like you get buffs everytime you invade countries but if you stay peaceful for too long you start to get debuffs and if you don't do anything for some time the caliphate collapses under its own weight.

now that i think about it when you defeat israel as the caliphate you would get a series of events about the genocide of the jewish population

i was think about a path for the caliphate where you could restore the ummayad or abbasid dynasty and your state would turn into a theocratic kingdom and that would be the less worst ending there would be another path where you start by becoming a terrorist state,after that you would reunify the caliphate but you wouldnt become a monarchy you would be a state ruled by isis and their terrible ideology would be show for the player through events and the focus tree,and as i said that state would be like taboritsky in tno or atomwaffen non muslims cityzens of the caliphate would be publicly executed to show the power of the regime

Yes, exactly a path like the Atomwaffen Division would be insanely challenging and enjoyable, like uniting the wilayats in different parts of the world. and a rags to riches story, from controlling some tiles like in the Russian mod Economic Crisis to a mighty empire at the end of the game which could rival the major powers in TFR.

thank you for liking my ideia warmanjarma,i think a terrorrist path for iraq would start with you conquering the neighbouring countries to restore the caliphate of the 8th century,and after you restored the caliphate you would get a series of events talking about how misserable life in the caliphate is, it would be a nightmarish state like Taboritsky in tno or the schawb in tfr
