Lower Unit Maintenance

Description
This mod strives to reduce unit maintenance. Now you'll be able to field larger armies in the late game in order to achieve that domination victory... unless someone else beats you to it!

The way Unit maintenance works in Civ V and BE is not simple. Instead of "1 energy per turn for unit type A", it involves a convoluted equation that uses the turn number as a part of determining how much your units cost to maintain, increasing as turns increase. Sounds fun, right? Firaxis wants you to suffer! (not really lol). Luckily, we appear to have ways to reduce the cost, thus this mod and others exist.

The UNIT_MAINTENANCE_GAME_MULTIPLIER under Defines has been reduced from 8 to 2. This is in league with BoogieMan's AI mod, thus this mod is merely a part that you can use if you don't want anything else from his mod.

Special Note: Turn 0 will not be any different with or without this mod. You should see differences after maybe 100 turns (and you have military units of course). Also, it takes 2 units to affect maintenance costs, so if you make a unit, and nothing happens, make another unit, and maintenance should go up. This applies to deleting units as well.

so it too me a while to figure out it was this mode that was causing me a problem in the game. The mod works fine until about 300 or 400 turns in (sometime more). It cause you to be unable to do anything with your units except click or highlight them. Also you can not handle any diplomatic matters unless you click the diplomatacy tab clicking them in the next turn button area does nothing.

quick question, so if i have boogieman's AI mod I don't need to get this mod to have the effect?

Sounds useful but you can already field large armies i've found to a degree with a small amount of generators, its just a matter of setting up the bulk of your quests to be engery rather than food or production as cities have a pretty good production rate as well as food rate so there isn't need for improvements with quests.
