Description
This is a CE-Only Mod. Muzzle Flash, HAR Compatible. Since I've only played in the CE (Combat Extended) environment starting from version 1.2, I don't know how to create weapons for the Vanilla environment.

The non-Dragoon variant of this autocannon in the environment wtihout DMS has no bodysize restrictions, potentially granting balance enthusiasts excessive combat power. And the weapon stats might be slightly higher. MIDAS and MLG27 feature CIWS functionality released by Combat Extended.

Added the universal BK27 and a Dragoon-module weapon version of the BK27 (the ammo container wasn't made too large for better texture proportions). The turrets are the MIDAS CIWS and MLG27 naval gun turrets, equipped with 27×145mm autoloaders. The weapon sound effects are from the BK27 autocannon in War Thunder.

I folded MLG27 into the automatic heavy turret category to save space in the construction menu.

The BK27 cannon module specifically for the Mobile Dragoon is more expensive but enhances firing stability and ammunition capacity.(The corresponding new textures have not yet been completed, but the weapon is already in a usable state.)


The BK27 utilizes 27x145mm ammunition, and the available types of ammunition for this weapon include: DM33 (AP), DM73 (HEI), PEB327 (DM103) (FAP), DM83(PELE), FAPDS, SAPHEI, AP-HE,APFSDS, all of which are new ammunition types added by this Mod. For some of the ammunition types, I was unable to find real-world designations.

Q&A: The Dead Man's Switch?
Yes. The mechanoid in The Dead Man's Switch series can use ths BK27.


You'll notice that the mod suddenly requires Bill Door's Framework. In fact, it can function without this Framework, its role in the mod is to enable weapon firing rates to exceed 3600 rpm.

hello. the included autoloader is buildable from the beginning and seems not to be locked by the correspondending research. maybe that could be/should be changed.

@StatusQuo You can choose not to include BDF, as the only function of this framework here is to increase MIDAS's rate of fire to 7200rpm - this is purely an optional feature.

does it REALLY depends on Bill Doors' Framework ? Because that mod is still 1.5
If you guys use the latest CE from GitHub, now the turret has CIWS capabilities, shredding many pods that dare land on the map. It's a must-have if you think drop pod raids are such cheap tactics.
