The year is 1994, and the island of Altis has been bitterly divided for over three decades into two nations: the Democratic Republic of Altis (DRA) in the west and the Socialist People’s Republic of Altis (SPRA) in the east. The map of Altis reflects this stark division, with the Pyrgos Line, a heavily militarized border, splitting the island into opposing ideologies.


In the aftermath of the Greek Civil War in the 1950s, Soviet and Egyptian influence spread into the eastern regions of Altis, sparking unrest. In 1956, the Communist Uprising in the east, supported by Soviet-aligned local socialists, overwhelmed the government forces. By 1957, the island was formally divided when the military of Altis could no longer hold back the growing socialist insurrection. The Pyrgos Line, a fortified and heavily patrolled zone, became the physical symbol of this split.

West Altis: The Democratic Republic of Altis (DRA), aligned with NATO and western democratic ideals, was established. Its capital is Kavala, and its government focuses on defending freedom and the sovereignty of western Altis from socialist aggression. https://i.imgur.com/HMxxCWV.jpeg
